You can bet that when Elliott County travels to Grayson the game will be a barn burner just like last night. Elliott County will be ready to play, make no mistake about it. It will be an intersting and entertaining game.

Who is Elliotts district win against? My memory seems to be failing me!

This is a great win for The Raiders. It is nice to see the senior Van Burge step up and play his heart out, in all facets of the game. Total team effort for the Raiders!! Maybe the young Lions could take a few lessons....

I think Tommy is nursing a hamstring injury, that is on going from the Soccer season. Drew has an illness, and I am not sure how long either will be out. Hopefully soon! Then the Raiders may make a little noise around the 16th. You never know how this season is going to play out.

No. Neither of them played, in this game. If they had, I have a feeling it would have gone differently. I guess Van Burge had a big game, scored something like 31 points, which I think would be a career high.

I looks as though everyone around the 16th region has forgotten that East Carter is returning its leading scorer from last season, Van-Allen Burge. On one of the previous posts someone mentioned Hollingsworth from West Carter, and Burge is for sure a better player all around than Hollingsworth.

I think that East Carter has a great shot to win this game. Elliott County is probably a little extra confident, because they beat East in the regular season. It depends on which Raider team shows up. They have the capability to have some big numbers from a couple of players. If they do in fact beat Elliott it will be considered an upset. I think that East Carter will win this game by a slim margin, they are playing pretty well at the right time of the season. East Carter 58 Elliott County 51

If everyone remebers, East and West split the regular season matchups. I think that West Carter is as volnerable as any team that is left in the 62nd District, or the region for that matter. To beat West Carter you have to limit the touches Jones has. Any coach in the region should be able to figure out a way to do that. He is obviously going to get his points, but 30 out of a teams 49, is not going to happen everynight. It is going to be interesting to see how the remainder of the tournament...

I definetly agree that Morgan County will beat West Carter. I don't think that game will be close. Morgan County is playing great basketball right now, and West Carter has slipped a bit in the last few weeks. As for the East Carter vs. Elliott County game will be a dandy. I think this game will be very close. However I think East Carter's will need lots of production from Van-Allen Burge. He is very capable of scoring big points. As long as the coach lets him play....

I am still confused as to how everyone thinks that Ashland is the 2nd best team in the region. If you look down the list there are several teams that have beaten them. They are definetly over-rated. But I guess only time will tell!!

Congratulations on a big win for the Raiders!! It seems that East Carter is starting to play pretty well. From what I have heard Ashland needs to let a few more players get involved in the games. The outcome may be different for them. ONce again way to go Raiders!!!!
