The dictionary defines socialist as an advocate or supporter of socialism. Socialism is defined as, any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. I can see where McCain is coming from. It's difficult to be proud when the best we can do for a presidential candidate is McCain and Obama.

The freshman class has a few very good players who would be impact players at other local schools. These are kids who are in the school and been there for a while. There are also good players in the middle school. The high school has some very good athletes, but they have not played football. I am wondering if players will transfer in for football. With a good coach, along with good young talent, it may be attractive to some. I hope numbers aren't a problem.

Soccer is a game I can only watch when I know someone playing personally. I can watch high school football, baseball, and basketball even if I don't know any of the kids. I would probably feel different about the sport if I was exposed to it as a kid.

This is great news. I've followed Coach Ross' carreer for some time. He will bring respect to the program. I can't wait to get this year started. I am wondering if his being named coach will attract more players.

The more we learn about Obama the less appealing he is. There is a lot of time between now and November, what else will we learn about him.

Don The athletic program at RH means as much to me, and in some ways more to me than anyone else at Rose Hill. But it is not as important as the mission of the school. I would like to see every student who has left the Hill come back, but with the intent of obtaining a Christian education first.

Parents have many reasons for leaving Rose Hill, but if basketball or any other athletics program is the reason for their leaving, then good riddance. If something as unimportant as a sport can sway you then you are probably holding the school back. Yes there will be a basketball program at RH next year, but more important than that, children will be exposed to Jesus Christ while obtaining a quality education.

I also would give him the benefit of the doubt if I wasn’t aware of his view on nuclear weapons. I have always found that someone’s first response to a question is the true response. He initially said he wouldn’t use nuclear devices ''in any circumstance”. When you look at his entire platform, I think it is fair to say nuclear devices aren’t an option. I think Obama blinked on this one. And I’m sure bin Laden isn’t threatened by his response.

The oldest documented remains were actually larger than the present day human. But other than that there is no real difference. Evolution is debunked by the lack of change in humans over the years. Cancer has been documented for thousands of years before the birth of Christ. Why hasn't the human body evolved to the point of stopping cancer? Scientist have figured out a way to accelerate time in a vacuum. They can replicate years in just a few hours. Why haven’t our brilliant scientific minds been able to replicate evolution? I don’t expect a scientist to create a human, I will settle for a mouse or some other type of life form. Calling evolution science is ridiculous. Nobody has scientifically proven evolution. It is a theory that I don’t have enough faith to believe in.
