What version of the bible did you find this in. I reviewed the KJV, the NIV and the New American Standard versions and did not find anything about "distributing through a just legal system". Also this commandment was for Israelites to care for Israelites. It commands Hebrews to cancel the debt from another Hebrew during the seventh year. But debt from non Israelites are allowed to continue. Leviticus also talks about the poor. It tells property owners to leave the edges of their harvest to the poor. This indicates two things. First the poor must go and work to receive the food, and that they aren't to receive the best. This is a commandment to individuals, not a government.

How do you get "abortion is not murder", from this scripture. Also you should read the entire chapter. Paul is speaking of sexual immorality.

Driving around the Ashland area, I noticed the lack of Obama signs. The McCain signs outnumber the Obama signs about 20 to 1. This is a very unscientific survey, based only on my observations. I know this is really no big deal, but I remember seeing a lot of Kerry signs out four years ago and Gore signs out four years before that. This is a big Democrat area with a lot of union employees. I just can’t help wonder where is the support?

Biden actually said if he had to become the President he would carry out Obama's policies. He didn't say that there was not a difference between them or that they had always agreed. Palin said she was a maverick and disagreed with McCain on ANWR. This was probably the only honest answer given by either candidate. She could have lied and said she would have carried out McCain's policies.

These people only need their name, address, date of birth, and last four digits of social security number. The clerks registering have no way of verifying the information or checking weather the person has the right to vote. Yet the ballots of our overseas servicemen and women are routinely not counted.

I think it is obvious how Jesus sees greed. Jesus said, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48. But I also think he makes a distinct difference in individuals and the government. "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Matthew 22:21 I would almost go along with the premise of our taxes being a form of giving that Jesus commands us to do if this country wasn’t such an UNGODLY country. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17. The social programs that are now in existence and those proposed by politicians are not done in the name of the Lord Jesus.

I'm not trying to start anything, I am just confused. How do you trust any of the Bible if you don't trust all of it? Do you pick and choose which of the verses to believe? I do believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. Please help me understand.

I was listening to the radio today (K-Love) Christian music station. They did a story on Lakeside Christian Academy in Morehead KY. In the story they said their girls varsity basketball team won a state championship? The schools administrator Tammy Mckinney said the school has only been in existence since 2005.
