  1. I will agree, the situation at Rose Hill may have been too much to overcome. I have said I don't blame Ross for having second thoughts. But I have not said anything to any kids about Ross walking away. They saw that for themselves.
  2. Again I am not blaming Ross for the low numbers. I do think he could have made some contacts and gotten a couple more students, but no effort was made on his part. So if that is throwing him under the bus, I guess I am.
  3. I'm not blaming Ross for the team not succeeding. Like I said I thought fielding a team was ambitious. My problem with Ross is his lack of interest. And no I don't know Ross, he didn't stay at Rose Hill long enough for me to get to know him. I don't know about Ross being more disapointed than anyone else over this situation. My 15 year old son is devistated.
  4. If your first hand account is that of Ross, I would have to ask him, how he found out about the Friday night numbers. He wasn't there that night. Ricky P was off a little with his count of kids at the practice on Monday. There was in fact 15 kids at this practice. This with the two players who left after Ross left would have given Ross his magic number 17. Also with a little encouragement from a strong head coach, there was a potential for three to five more. I don’t blame Ross for having second thoughts. I just believe he could have handled it more professionally.
  5. The guy may have had a great record in the past, but he did nothing at Rose Hill except let a bunch of kids down. Ross tried to jump on a bandwagon, Rose Hill had a great middle school team with some fine athletes and a bright future. When the future didn't look as great he turned his back on a commitment and some wonderful kids. I personally thought football was too ambitious. The number of boys in the school just aren't there. It would have taken a coach a lot of work, talking to kids in the school and getting to know them. Ross just wanted a team handed to him.
  6. When is congress going to step in and take the prophets of BIG BURGER.
  7. I was at Rose Hill yesterday. They will have a pair of big boys. Mike Terry has to be 6'6" now. And there is a new kid there who is at least that tall. A little experience and they will be a top team.
  8. I didn't feel it was my place to mention names, so I didn't say anything earlier, but now that this move is out I will say, I appreciate the Barber family and all they have done for me and my family as well as there contributions to Rose Hill. This is a quality family. I know the situation and I also know that Robbie is prepared to follow what ever ruling the KHSAA passes down, even if he sets out a year. I will add this should not be the case. I will allways support Robbie, Josh, and the entire Barber family. As FB posted there are more important things than athletics. I will miss you all.
  9. How can you be a Christian and not believe what the Bible says. The Bible is God's word. God will not mislead or trick you. Can I live up to the Bible? Of course not, that is why Jesus was born, lived, and died.
  10. Posted by thegooch in another thread. I guess you have a different definition of innocents than most. Good job Texas.
  11. I for one don't understand what Elliott Co. has to do with Euton and Jackson being allowed to play at Scott Co., except it may destroy a dream some may have. I believe if the BOC or the KHSAA hires a hearing officer to look at the case objectively, then they should follow his recommendations.
  12. The hearing officer also makes their decision AFTER hearing the evidence. The BOC probably will side with the commissioner, then it will be forced in court where another judge will make a decision based on evidence and the rules. After all is said and done they will play.
  13. I watched Mark coach in the past. These girls will learn a lot from him and have fun doing it. They will be fine. Good luck Lady Royls.
  14. The pressure they were under was to follow the rules they had written. I would hope if you knew the details and not the spin, you would agree with the ruling.
  15. I understand where the commissioner is coming from. I personally am offended of the term, “Fat Chance”. This term indicates that those of us who prefer pleated pants have little chance to succeed. When will the madness end?
  16. What does the up coming RH team have to do with the eligibility of Euton and Jackson?
  17. Jackson’s comments were stupid. But the point he made is interesting. He feels like Obama is talking down to African Americans. I think Obama, along with his wife, talks down to everyone.
  18. Few people know the real Jackson situation. I doubt that bobbyearl or Ms. Liberty are among the few. The Euton situation has been more publicized, and nobody can dispute the move to the Lexington area is legitimate. They both will be allowed to play.
  19. Did they give you scriptural reference to back this up?
