Male has tremendous potential - one of the largest schools in the state - no reason the girls bball cannot compete. You would think the same thing could be said at Eastern - boys program there is obviously very successful - but the past 2 coaches have had serious problems with discipline. As for candidates at Male, I could see it spurring a lot of interest. Does Fern Creek's Michelle Fries try as she is an alumnus/former Lady Bulldog?

Irving: What is the feeling at Male regarding Coach Scully (and of course 'Irving' could be Coach Scully or an assistant on the staff) - the 'public perception', right or wrong, is that she was hanging on to be in line for the AD job, but that went to the former Waggener AD {so what now?} - also the public perception is that Male girls basketball has slipped significantly over the past few years which seems inexcusable (or at least inexpicable) given that it is the 3rd or 4th largest school in the entire state....

Supposedly true - the girl with the first name China (I think full name is China Dow but could be mistaken) - she played in Eastern's system as a middle schooler and is for real - if true that could be a replacement for what they lost in Buchanon, and hence they are right back in the mix in what will be a repeat of last year's strong array of 7th Region squads.

Sacred Heart returns basically 100% of all scoring and rebounding - 1 senior lost that played sparingly - must be mentioned at the top of the region along with CAL (who does lose Buchanon) and Manual (who loses Jones) and Mercy (who loses C. Montano).

I guess some schools might utilize there kids and play them at all three levels(freshmen, jv, varisty), I am just not a advocate of it." I agree wholeheartedly - you have a team of freshmen that has been in tact all season with no players playing down and they play at team that brings ringers down for specific games or tourneys.
