threetimelover Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 What does Christian Academy-Louisville need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
retropop Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Is it true that a new, young, capable, stud player is coming into the C.A.L. program from JCPS and joining the team? If so, they may be pretty storng again.
DerbyCity Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Supposedly true - the girl with the first name China (I think full name is China Dow but could be mistaken) - she played in Eastern's system as a middle schooler and is for real - if true that could be a replacement for what they lost in Buchanon, and hence they are right back in the mix in what will be a repeat of last year's strong array of 7th Region squads.
REH5 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 China Dow played with CAL in the state AAU high school tourney and played well. Antonita Slaughter, China Dow, Allison Karst, and Anna Hart and others give CAL a lot of firepower.
Irving07 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 China is a beast. She can get out of control at times but as she develops and matures, hopefully that will take care of itself. On the positive side, she's probably in the 90 percentile athletic-wise for girls. She actually plays more like a boy, like maybe a Cierra Ricketts. I don't know about pushing them over the top, but she should be a great one.
Mr. Athletics Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 China is the real deal if she learns to play under control and with her new teammates.
