Johnson Central is 15th region 2009 champs and will be playing Casey County in Diddle next week.

I think that Boone will bounce back. I like to watch them play. I think that they will be going to Diddle.

The 10th is the worst for not watching feet and calling a walk with a head bob and then on the other end a girl would use each foot twice for a pivot foot after she picked up her dribble and nothing was called by any of the 3 officials. This was during regular season so I hope they would do a little better in post season, be glad you don't trade with 10th region.

It is here, tourney time and even though it is not March, there will still be some madness. Who will surprisingly not make it to the region? Who gets knocked out early in the districts?

I like Boone County's chances in the 9th. Not really going out on a limb because they are a strong contender but going with them to represent the 9th at Diddle.

You cannot say that scoring is the reason they didn't go to diddle. It was DEFENSE!!! Are you kidding me? How can you graduate 7500 points in 3 players and say if one more person had scored we would have played in diddle? Menke is doing a great job this year, she is taking her role and doing what she needs to do. Keep it up Keller.

Most of the big rivalries in the mountains and south east KY are when you have a small city school vs. the county school. Most of the times these teams are seperated by less than a mile. Somerset/ Pulaski County (about 3 miles and route 80 seperate these schools) Danville/ Boyle County (less than a mile from one another) Pikeville/ Virgie (in the 80's) Paintsville/ Johnson Central (seperated by a creek) Hazard/ Perry County (in a previous thread they were talking about police being outside, when these teams compete in ANYTHING police are in the stands) (check out youtube from last year, lol) Another amazing thing is that most if not all of the city schools are "A" schools (by older rankings not the new 6A system) and the county teams are all 3 or 4 A teams, but it never mattered when it came game time, the smaller teams won just as many if not more of these rivalries.

I agree. Put the best players on floor regardless of age or grade. I never agreed with the "number" reasoning. Didn't the former wildcat star and Clay County standout Richie Farmer start on the high school team since he was in 6th grade?

I have watched her play a few times. She is fun to watch. She goes 100mph for 32 minutes. Good catch for the wildcats. Congrats. Does anyone know if her twin sister is going to play anywhere?

I have no ties to either team, we just went to watch some good football. It was a different Trinity team than we had seen earlier when the rocks beat cincy st. x. I think that both teams will make some changes and be playing in December again. As far as attendance. There were several high school games played on Thursday night that did allow for several area teams to come to the game. I just wish that they would watch the game instead of run up and down the aisles the entire game. The weather was perfect and the tailgaiting was in full swing. Should be an interesting rest of the season.

Iroquois is my pick for this year. They had NO seniors last year. They are going to be a FORCE. LCA definitely has a chance. They are returning a lot. My sleeper is coming from the 10th region. Montgomery is going to make a run this year. They have been to the state tourney 4 years in a row and I think they will make it 5 and finally get to the finals. I think that they have 6 or 7 seniors on that team.

I heard a rumor that Stacy Davis had the job if she wanted it. This is just rumor so take it as you may. I wish that they would just make a decision.

I have not heard anything. I heard that they interviewed Coach Davis but I have heard nothing since. I think that it would be a great fit for both Rose Hill and Coach Davis. I have known her for over 15 years and I think that she is a great coach. Good luck to whomever they choose. Good luck to Stacy as well, hope to see you in the coaching box soon.

She was the best player the entire season, including leading her team to the State Championship. Classy girl. I wish her all the best. Great choice!! Congrats!!!

I have heard that they are just starting to interview. I am not sure who is interested in the position. This would be a great job. They are in a weak district but they have a tough schedule. The team last year was young and I hope that OC can compete on a state level before they divide the team in half again in the next 8 years or so and make an East Oldham.

She was a great coach. Her players always had her respect.

Congrats. I have watched this team play several times this year and they have a lot of respect for their coach and they play team ball and they hustle and they deserve to be state champs. Congrats again Coach Wilson and to the Butler team. I also want to congratulate Tia on a great season. IMO, she is the best player in the state.
