Prewitt is one of the very few seniors in the state of Kentucky that can say that she played in the sweet 16 all 4 years. What an accomplishment. Good luck, hope you make it to Saturday. There are only 2 teams in the state tourney returning this year from last year so I know there can't be that many seniors that have ever accomplished this task. It is just so hard to repeat or 3-peat but what is 4 called? quad peat? lol Congrats.

Shelby Valley has 5 trips to the state tourney from the 15th but the school didn't even open until the 90's, before that it was Virgie and another school maybe Dorton or something like that. Virgie made several trips with Mr. Basketball Todd May.

What do the Lady Royals have returning? I know that they are losing a few seniors that have put up some major stats in their career.

I agree that other teams will contend for the title but E-town drew Johnson Central first round and Montgomery drew Henry Clay, which do you think is the easiest? Then E-town will play the winner of regions 9 and 2 (not virtual power houses). If they win those games then they are playing on Saturday and that is where I think that E-town will get their first "test" of the tourney. Not too bad to not really have a test until Saturday morning. That is all I was saying.

I have watched both Manual and Butler play a couple of games this year and these are probably the best 2 teams in the state. This semi game will be the game of the tourney.

Henry Clay will win this one by at least double digits. They are on a roll. I think that HC will just be too much for the Lady Indians.

E-town will win this one by as many as they want. They have a good chance to make a run at the title. They got a good draw. I would definitley say that they will be playing Saturday.

Good effort Rock. I really thought that Coach Nobel and the girls would pull this out. Keep your heads up, congrats on a great season.

Butler has a great team. I am not suprised, Gibbs is a GREAT leader and she has a wonderful supporting cast. Iroquois is also a great team with NO SENIORS. Wow, this team will be right back at Diddle next year!! Congrats to Butler and keep your heads up Iroquois.

Wow, I really thought that Dunbar had the best chance to win it all this year. That has to be the toughest region in the state. Great win by Henry Clay but I think that it will be Catholic coming out of this region.

I am going with the Lady Hawks. This is their 3rd regional final game in as many years. This Lady Hawk team knows what it means to play in a big game. It will be a great game to watch. These two teams have a lot of talent and they are both well coached. I am going with the Lady Hawks by 8.

You are right, Belfry could run the ball up and down the Expo floor and that extra 10 ft could give JC a little trouble. That semi game could be a dandy.

This is a huge advantage going into the regional tournament. Congrats Lex Cath on a HUGE win. I have thought all year that Dunbar was the best team in that region. Makes for a very exciting 11th region tourney. Good luck to both teams, probably will see rematch in the regional finals.

Regional tournament at the Expo Center in Pikeville. Yes, I think that they can do it again. They were among the top 10 in the state in January in 3 point shooting percentage but then went into a slump and seems like now they are getting back on track. They shot the lights out in 3 point shooting during the region and their stint at the Diddle last year. They have some great 3 point shooters on this team.

I am not sure but I was listening to WDHR and they said that they had just spoken with the principal of Pikeville and he wanted everyone to know that that information was false and there was no offers extended. I don't know anything about it, I just heard it on the radio.

I have seen Montgomery Co. play a couple of times this year and they looked really good. I am very surprised by this score. Congrats Cards!! Get your heads up Indians, get ready for the region. Could we see a Montgomery/ Mason first round game? WOW!!!!

Pikeville High principal says that they are still interviewing next week and there have been no offers made to anyone. This just came on the radio. The announcer from WDHR in Pikeville said that the principal called him personally and asked him to relay the message.

Pikeville HS principal just announced that this is misinformation. They have not extended any offers. They will continue to interview next week. This just breaking in on WDHR from Pikeville, KY.
