The game was very physical and the ref's let a lot go. Sk seemed poised and still played a great game. Anderson lost their cool and it was all over from there.

The only time I saw Scott fans travel heavy is against SK. But they traveled really heavy to the Joe. It would've been nice to hear that they were there for the regional game.

Also, I think that if SK were a more physical team, they'd be much better off. Hurd, the big man down low, needs to be a little stronger and tougher down low and he'll be a force to be reckoned with. Something I'm sure Steiner has already been working on.

Don't think that SK is too worried about a rude student section they've played CovCath and at Scott. When SK and Scott meet, that's as dirty as it gets. Shouldn't have any effect on the outcome.

Is this the same Mason County team that Simon Kenton beat by 14 points in a scrimmage in November? Just wondering, no trash talk intended, and I'm aware that a scrimmage 5 months ago holds no bearing in these tourneys.

Both coaches know each other from like the back of their hands. I believe it will come down to which team wants it more.

I hate to tell you, but your wrong. Duran was always in trouble and him and Mike couldn't get along greatly. This is why Duran didn't play in state during their eight grade campaign. The Tarheels did not play as a team, and that is why they couldn never beat the stars who always beat them as a Team. Oh and Greg didn't play with the T'heels untill the end of 9th grade i believe.

I also believe that SK needs big games from Philla Thrilla Shambach. They have to try to get him the ball, his only having 1 point on senior night was the difference in the game against Dixie. He needs more looks.

I love Mike Hester, he's a great player, but the 8th region is very very strong, I wouldn't become too confident. I believe Hester will get his every night though, I think the bigger question is whether or not the rest of the team will step up. Strong play from the inside is a must if Simon hopes to make a Cinderella run towards the sweet 16.

I think we'll see Oldham Co. and Simon Kenton in the semis to see who will play Shelby Co. in the finals. It was a tight game the first time with Oldham Co. edging out SK, i think it will be another close one.

I disagree, I think that Scott can give Clark a tough game, there chances rest on Kyle Howard's shoulders however, I hear Clark has good guard play and Scott is prone to costly turnovers from their guards.

Why don't you give the guy a break? It is really interesting/scary to think about how much talent this team could have had. But the question is, could they have played together as a team and gotten along, which has proven to be a problem this year. I don't think they could've done it, but if it were possible, this team would've been nothing short of dominant in Northern Kentucky.

I wouldn't say that it's a definite no. However inconsistent SK has been, they do have a lot of talent, and have the ability to beat almost any team on any given night. I would't count on it, but who knows during tourney time. SK only lost to a very strong Henry Clay team by 4. If they can put together a 32 minute game, I'd say they've got a small, but legit chance.

It seems to me that the last 2 years, there's been a little more hatred between the schools and the rivalry has been more intense, as opposed to a few years before. Has anyone else noticed this?

SK Senior Ryan Brown will not play tonight due to an injured ankle, but should be back in time for Senior Night against Dixie. Hurts to see him not get to play in this one, but shouldn't effect the outcome of the game too much.

Besides geography actually being a part of it, in seemingly every sport these two schools always have close entertaining games.

Gosh, I love SK-SCott. Such a fun game to watch. I can't wait. Around 24 hours to tip off!
