Holmes can be as athletic as they want, but they aren't disiplined enough to put up consistent points. SK's D will contain Holmes O. SK by a couple touchdowns.

I would love nothing more than to see that.

If SK doesn't go 4-1 or better over the next five games then they are done.

I hate Dixie for the same reasons as Carson Palmer hates the Steelers. I at no point have bashed Dixie or said that their win was tainted. I have every right to hate them. I mean, i played last year and when someone beats you with 9 seconds left the sting after that game doesn't go away too quickly. And add on a 3 OT loss when you know everyone on the field personally, then there is no way i could have a positive feeling towards Dixie. I'm sure if you were in my position you would agree with me.

WR Nathan Ponzer of the Pioneers. I'm not sure of how many yards he had, but most likely 100+ with 3 TDs and the best catch i've ever seen a high schooler make and it was in OT. It was a one handed fully laid out stab that would've been #1 in sportscenter top ten.

Ha yeah, i'd have to agree. With five games left i got a feeling he will get one more to break the school record set by Phil Evans who is an SK coach now. He's on a pace to absolutely crush it.

I agree SK is in a huge hole, but to get a positive out of this past game the clutch 3 pointers were a very good sight. A touchdown would have been tremendous to say the least, but the kicking game is getting better. If i'm not mistaken Bryan King had his first touchback as well. Woo Hoo!

I'm not gonna lie about things just to please people on here. I HATE DIXIE! There it is. I'm not gonna take it back, but I do not let it effect my discussions on here. I'm not gonna bash Dixie or its players anytime soon. I have tons of respect for them, but yeah i don't like them. Sorry if you have a problem with that.:thumb:

You're not making any sense. Although i didn't say if he "believes in his team" i agree with it and it is a very correct statement. But anywho are you saying that a fourth and 1 in the first or second quarter has the same bearing as one that will decide the game? I hope not. Any educated football fan knows the monumentous difference between the two situations. If its the first quarter and you go for it on fourth and 1 from midfield then its really no big deal. There's plenty of time left in the game to make up for it. But if you go for a fourth and 1 in the fourth quarter a coach realizes that this play will pretty much decide the game. He showed me a whole bunch of trust by making that move. If they make it then the offense did its job. If not then he beleived the defense would do their job. Unfortunately they did not get that yard and the defense faultered so people get on bluegrass preps saying how stupid of a call it was. If you really knew the situation, the players, the coach, or the game of football for that matter, you would understand the decision. Unfortunatley you do not and i'm sorry for you.:banana:

They were not on their own twenty. Try midfield. And don't put words in his mouth. A fourth down try at the end of the game has no correlation to a try in the beginning/middle of the game. They were trying to seal the deal.

I agree, if Dixie had done nothing on offense, then he had no reason to believe even after a failed fourth down that they would drive for the win. If they get the first, then the game is over. Dixie still might have gone down the field if they punted it. I like the call.

Very true, but if he really is dead/dying we can kind of feel that justice is finally being served.

I really dislike Dixie but anyway, best catch I've ever seen anywhere. All Nate Ponzer does is catch touchdowns... long game changing touchdowns. Chad also had a very clutch fourth and long grab along the sideline. Elbert had several clutch plays as well. About the play call, I loved it.The punter was consistently punting 15-20 yards the whole game and you have to be gutsy; they just didn't execute. If they got a first down its game over. Overall that was the best game I've seen on any level. My favorite part of the game was immediately after when Tommy Gibson was broke down and crying all of his former teammates came and bought him up. I really wish I had a camera right then.

I just came back from there. If they play tonight i will be absolutely shocked.

Sometimes kids who play "hurt" turn out to have severe back/shoulder/knee problems in thier early twenties. Playing "hurt" can impact the rest of your life. There is a very very thin line between hurt and injured.

He moved with his aunt, uncle, and two cousins, the schreiners. Tommy had a somewhat troubled past and the schreiners are a very good influence on young Tommy. They are good people.
