David Bird - Standout Career Ended Early
memyselfandi replied to True blue (and gold)'s topic in KY Football (High School)
Thoughts and Prayers are with David. Quick question though. I don't know if you are his family member or not but did anyone give permission for this to be released on a forum. I do not know if this was in the newspaper or not but with all the HIPPA laws out there you just never know what can and can not be said about an injury. -
He was too big to play Red Devils and I think he is benefitting from playing freshman ball and it allows the 8th graders who play his position to develop. Just my opinion.

Well excuse me but in the past 3 years CC has played ALL games at the middle school. Someone asked where the game was going to be played and I said all games were being played at the middle school. Sorry you had to read into it a little bit more than needed to be.
-
They had to do that because they were unable to find an athletic trainer to cover both the varsity soccer game at the high school and the freshman football game so the freshman football game was moved to the high school.

At the middle school which is the game field for all Campbell County football games.

Campbell Couny 27 Mason County 7

I think total offensive yards says it all about this game. Campbell Co - 403 Mason Co - 184 -
I can't remember all of the personal fouls called but the 3 I know of for Campbell County was: 1 - was on an offensive lineman who pulled a guy off the pile after a running play and he used some extra "force" to pull him off. This was late into the 3rd quarter or early 4th. 2 - roughing the QB in the 4th which was very questionable. Like someone already said on here. It was mostly 2 CC players running into each other. 3 - one on the CC sidelines because of a coach yealling that it was a ball call relating to the above mentioned personal foul.
-
If you read the article regarding the game it says Styer says he will use both.
-
Something to keep in mind for this game. The Camels also did not have their starting JV QB as he (Andrew Eshman) played the majority of the game on Friday night. Also, his back up did not dress so the #2 QB (David Jenkins) for the freshman team was the QB for the JV game.
-
Were you on the field to hear what was being said by the officials or the players to each other? Just wondering. Very good game by the Camels can't wait to see what they do against Mason County.

Ryle vs. Campbell Co Predictions
memyselfandi replied to Miller's topic in KY Football (High School)
Did not know if anyone knew or saw this but this is straight from the Campbell County Schools website: The safety of students at activities and events is our utmost priority. To ensure all of our students are safe, the CCS administration has enlisted a new policy that will require all students under middle school age to be accompanied to the games or events by an adult and that they must remain in an adult’s supervision during the game. If your child or a child you know plans to attend a game, please be sure he or she has supervision and is aware of this new policy. Not sure if this pertains to opponents students but just thought I would post this. -

Ryan Eten. I think the Camels are going to be very focused this game. They have something to prove here. -

It was a touchdown. Like UK Fan 59 said you only have to get one foot in bounds for a catch. -

Thanks for the update. Good job Camels. -
Eten to d-back? I think he is staying at the d-end position.

Has your team been effected by staph infection?
memyselfandi replied to FamilyTradition's topic in KY Football (High School)
Yes it can start that way too. It finds any open wound. The ones that I have seen are pimple like and that is what most kids think it is so they pop it. -
Has your team been effected by staph infection?
memyselfandi replied to FamilyTradition's topic in KY Football (High School)
If you catch it at the beginning stages (when it looks like a pimple and you do not pop it) the treatment is about 2 weeks of anitbiotics. That is if you have the right anitbiotics. The key to controlling MRSA is when that "pimple" pops up you do not pop it. -
I don't think anyone is brushing Griffin aside. I just think instead of having one goto guy they have quite a few this year. This team has worked very hard in the weight room & on the field.
