Thats fine RP, I have two sons names after a Bama Football coach. And a very famous player who wore lady stockings. Now I'm glad we are on the same page on pulling for the State teams verses other schools out side our county. I have met your AD and many coaches in my travels and thought nothing but nice thngs in this meetings. There are some wonderful fans at both X/Rocks and many are on here. I do enjoy getting on the Rocks when I can and its not mean spirited, just having fun. But you have to remember the times I wrote about the 2006 loss to the Rocks, and seeing these kids cry after the game and how bad it hurt, and these things don't go away. I had a kid on that team so that hits close to home to see your own kid suffer. But they have moved on and I'm still trying. The Rocks have won so much, and it would have been sweet to experince that with our son. And now we have another son, and I agree with you 100%, its a lot more than this message board, and we live it every day, since last year and the past summer work outs, and what we are experincing every day rite now. Things change when you have kids involved, doesn't it? Good luck friday, all players safe.

Thanks RM, hate is a horrible word, I hate cancer/mistreated kids/Satan/cigarettes. Back in the 60s/70s Bama rarely lost and people would tell me it would just be nice to see them lose sometimes, well... I never pick the Rocks to lose playing out of state, I always pull for them to win. I wonder if ole Rockpride could say that about Male? I believe some folks at Manual might really "hate" (JVs/Frosh will not play) the Rocks, from last year, but I just want to beat them in a hard fought game.

Male falls at home to X 16-12. Male suffers its first loss. St X played very well and it was a hard hitting game. Male played well despite the loss of three un forced fumbles. The size of the two teams was really weird, X was huge! I held the chains and I felt like I was waiting on Dorothy and her little dog too. X had some nice kids and coaches. Fans were also very kind. I got a kick as Coach Glaser came on the field in the second half and cheered on his kids. I guess he really wanted the win... Freshman this thursday nite.

MBKT, not sure Bama's defense is very good. Manual will surprise you.

Jim I attended Manual for a couple of years until we moved. I believe they can do it and I hope they do of course. I pull for the Rocks out of state, in state I'd love to see them go down a few times and they will. Now, they might go down next thursday. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free I pray.

Male JVs won on monday against Ballard, now at 4-0. Freshmen defeated Eastern/ Central Hardin are 5-0. X this week, looking forward to the matches.

Tony, we play at Ballard on Monday, not sure where I'll be as of today. On thursday, we go to Central Hardin, so I'll miss that one. Male is off on friday. We play X on the 3rd/6th, she will certainly be at the Freshman game.

I went to Iroquois, we beat the Rocks in a scrimmage in 1969. The year before they were state champs. As a neighborhood school we had some very nice teams. Late 70s we made the playoffs. We have a nice field locker room. Its just what someone mentioned earlier, kids go other places. My own kids went other places but we don't live in the south end anymore. I think they should go to 1A/2A and they would have to travel like Trinity does, but at least they would not face scores in the 100s. Its all about what you have. I used to go to their games until my sons started playing.

With the X/Rocks game this week I think it would be fun if it fits, to watch their JV/freshmen games, anybody have any times and places let me know. I might even go to the varsity and watch friday, Male is off. I promise I will keep info about the teams to myself and Mama, their coaches don't listen to me anyway.

58, yep, I asked Mama when it happened, "I don't know about that call". To be fair Eastern has several kids that were out due to injuries. Male's run defense was very good. Over all a very well played game. Kids have been working hard. Looking forward to the "Skid' in the next few weeks.

No, I don't think he did. He is kinda famous with that, you need to hear his Bible debates on tape. "Larry, just answer the question",. But he did give some really good points on why they are having some issues.

H, Tez was a the starter last year but they made the change three games before the playoffs and stayed with Tyler Adams. even when Tez came back Tyler was the QB, he now is playing baseball. Now, Tez is back as the starter. In the Boone County loss we were down 14 and on ther 5 yard line and we had a pick, the Male reciever was pushed down and the safety got to the ball. No call. I have the film and it was funny watching the Boone cornerback as he had his head down for he knew what he did, even looked away, then saw they missed it, and joyfully ran off the field. but, thats sports, Male has been in every game this season and will be fine. We have to look at the Big Picture. This game/Western/ Floyd Central/Lexington Catholic, all were very winable games.

I guess the math I gave and the math of the games proves too much. Since 2004 they have done very well. But even then they had losses to Hardin county schools in the playoffs, lost to the Rocks in 2006. Its hard to be critical when I go to almost every practice and I see the hard work by everyone, and when you have a son playing and the way the coaches really care about the kids. Even Alabama had a rough season a couple of times before Nick got going and even Nick lost to Louisana Monroe and went 7-6. You have to see the big picture here and the future looks very good. Our QB from last year is still at Male but dropped football to play baseball. Oh well, thanks for asking.

One returning starter on offense, and two on the defense. They lost by 10 after several turn overs which would hurt any team. They have been in every game. Coach Wolfe mentioned this in Pre season. They are working very hard. I have only been following Male since 2004. Every year since I have been around the returning players have been there. Since last year two RBs/Tight end/QB/two wideouts and all of the line are gone. On the defense a safety and a corner return. The whole line/linebackers are new. I have said this many times. The guide lines are harder to get into Male. After the principle was let go two years ago the new one wants good students to want to be there to get an education and then play football. I have seen both sides and we love what the school/coaches are doing. I would not be surprised one bit if Male beat some teams in the future.

Thanks Jim, he just replied to RockMoms comment, "will she be at the Rocks game (freshmen), its at their place"? I said yes, when you kick she will be in the endzone waving to bother you. he said, "I'd expect that." This might be fun, he is so small he belongs to the "Lolipop Gill support team".
