Top 7 stay the same from last weeks rankings. Male drops out of the poll, Cenral Hardin comes in at 10th. Boone Co moves up form 10th to 8th and Eastern drops from 9th to 10th.

 

Looks good to me. I think the top 4 are very solid. Games of interest for the rankings this week I believe are Lafayette, vs Henry Clay, Boone @ Dixie and Eastern vs Male.

My point was that if Trinity wasn't head-and-shoulders above everyone, we'd be talking about how "competitive" 6A is instead of how "down" or "bad" 6A is.

How good is Manual, relative to the rest of the class? Obviously they are no Trinity, but they seem better than the past. And Scott County seems to have a pretty solid club, although they've not played a challenging schedule. And St. X isn't exactly terrible, although they aren't as good as the past.

 

So I'd agree that the bottom of the rankings in 6A have some weak teams, some at the top might be pretty solid compared to regular years and are just getting lost in the Trinity love.

Even though Trinity hasn't played any Kentucky schools yet, we are all obviously looking at 6A Team X in regards to Trinity and already guaranteeing a romp. That romp certainly will happen, but does that mean that 6A Team X isn't good? I'm just not so sure.

X is 2-3, losing to Bowling Green

Male is 1-4, losing to Floyd Central, Western, Lex Cath and Boone County

Ballard is 1-4 with the only win on a return as time expired

Bowling Green might be the third best team in all of Kentucky and Lexington Catholic is likely one of the ten best teams in the state. Those aren't bad losses.
