I should have been more clear. The site itself is giving respect but it seems the posters aren't. That is what I was referring to. Why don't the posters on BGP give Butler any respect despite their high ranking.

I think the problem with Butler being given little respect by the posters is because their recent football records have not been very stellar. Once a team is stereotyped as good or bad, it is very hard to change it's image. St. X. and Butler are two excellent examples. The Tigers have no where near the talent as they have had in past years, yet many still consider them #2 to Trinity. In Butler's case, the talent, experience, depth and coaching have greatly improved, but they are still viewed by many as a walk-over team.
