  1. You need to read 2nd Timothy 3:16:17, and get back to us after you do, or I'll give it to you.
  2. Guilty, but I was trying to console a lot of folks.
  3. saw his interview yesterday, he was asked about losing his cool...."I threw then under the bus and I was driving that bus, but they responded well and are great kids". Bob said "it was his best day of his basketball life". A little dis at the Hoosiers? ( Lamar going to the dance..)
  4. I just said this on Facebook, I have a bunch of Cat fans buddies over there. I said.."if UK won I might have them in the final 4, since they lost I'll have them in the final 2 and maybe winning it all".. I also reminded them of Bama losing to LSU and their come back masacare of LSU. Cats at 8 minutes were up 5/6 didn't score a basket to maybe 2 minutes left. Lleave the three alone. Vandy's zone gave them some fits...But Miller and Lamb had some good looks.
  5. thought it was a Trimble County thing, I get roasted every day about my speech. :idunno:
  6. About a year ago I wrote a long post I started about Salvation. In it I'm sure I said.."being a Christian and living that life style is one of the hardest things a person can do".. If you read posts on here as we defend the Gospel and high profile Christians like Tim, you see that I was right on. Its very hard in all aspects, but also its also very easy once the Holy Spirit guides you. I have had some very moving experinces with others who hate what we stand for face to face. Not like on here. This on here can't compare face to face encounters.
  7. Well, thats a hard question 1st Samuel 16:7. The LORD knows their heart. But if they choose to not go just because of reason they will be judged. We are told to attend Church and worship and have fellowship. If there is a reason they don't/can't go thats between them and the LORD, BUT, if they choose not to attend that is going against God which is a sin. God and Sin are not allowed together. But,, why wouldn't a Christian not want to go to Church? Acts 2 talks about the early Church. In Acts 20:7 we are told when to break bread. Paul gives instuctions to Churches in almost all his letters. John writes about Jesus calling out the 7 Churches in revelation. Jesus tells Peter "On you I'll build my Church" So, people that do not go are most certainly non Believers, and they are rejecting Jesus which is the only Sin that will not be Forgiven. Great question.
  8. I wanted to like this too, but it just didn't fit "liking someone going to Hell" But I get what you are meaning. Matthew 7:21 I have a story I'll share soon, Mama asleep (I need to get a lighted keyboard they have at Staples for $75.00) . Its a sad but I have a question from it.
  9. Opps, sorry, "Nevermind" using my Gilda Radnor voice .Now you see why I don't run a locomotive any longer.
  10. I posted this thread in the Religion section, not sure why it came over here? But I'd like to know the reason, I want to make sure it gets seen my the majority of people. I'll wait for a reply before I say anymore.
  11. Did I do that? yep, lets look at in detail... "WE" People of the Way which is a term used before they were called Christians. I am a Christian so "We" refer to the Christians on BGPs. "Face you" means meet. Pretty easy, but we meet non Christians nay sayers in all walk of life. Kids at school, camps, teams, jobs, on the highways, etc. Face you also means people on here BGPs who want to bring up comments to down play down our beliefs. We face people like that un believers than we face on the Christian side. That means all the time which is a lot. The Church we now attend is the 3rd largest in America, they have just 20K at three churches every week end, now add the churches from Louisville that are also nice size, but look at the population of metro Louisville over a million! Its not even close, so the non believers rank the believers by a tremendous amout. Its always been like that. Hope this helps. Man, I thought I had won with Nick... Oh wait I did in the long run...ROLL TIDE ROLL!!
  12. Lets see what the Bible says, but man we are talking about the whole new testament. But, I am retired, so...But look at rewards in heaven and Jesus said we must have our name written in the book of Life to enter heaven, If a Catholic person's name is there they go just as I do. I had apreacher who got so mad at me during our radio debate he Yelled.."YOU ARE A BAPTIST AND YOU ARE GOING TO HELL! I made a vow I said Larry, you will never tell a person where they are going after they die..(we all do die thanks to Adam/Eve) That was over 8/9 years ago. So, I just let the Bible speak because I'm not the judge. But to answer your question Pot stirrer junior, yes if they have followed the pattern that Jesus has laid out.
  13. Nick Saban, and said it to the Reporters after the Press conference after Bama destroyed LSU, who only crossed mid field two times, once during the game and once on the way to the bus...Send me a prize. :jump:
  14. As Paul has said, I did a great fight, I didn't give up. Glad you are back too, Oh, Bama kicked the tar out of LSU in case you missed it. They cross Mid field two times, Once during the game and once to the bus.
  15. It was two years ago february I left a Church with a false teacher. Over a 100 folks also left and have joined other churches. We have yet to find a home church, you see its God's timing not mine. "Shopped himself" Cute Mr. Newton. And ROLL TIDE!!!
  16. The Bible speaks of false teachers, also uses the analogy of Wolves in Sheep clothings. I didn't explain, but scripture just did. I could go into a great detail as I have studied different false teaching for years and have 100s of articles that I have researched. I'm retired just say the word. So, the problem with Larry turns out there is no problem at all. I also have debated these issues for over 10 years and have over 40 tapes of these debates. I can make you a copy. PM your address. "unable to explain" 10 years of explaining.
  17. Nope, I respect your comments and I'd never would tell you your wrong, but you did mention scripture which might. It also tells me when I am wrong which is every day. Your right God is a loving God. About me judging. I don't think/mean to, but try to point out the scripture in my comments. I'm trying not to use anything. I'd like to see where I have judged someone on my think so's. Nice post.
  18. Nope, but I can read. But you have Tim down pat and waiting for him to fail...
  19. I've used this afew times because I need to drive home this point. I am propted by the Holy Spirit to do this. Hell is a hot place and eternity is a very long time. For the unbelievers, what if I'm right and you are wrong...What have you lost and I have gained? If you are right and I'm wrong, well we are just equal. Don Piper is a preacher who dies in a horrible car wreck in Texas and came back 90 m inutes later. he told his story in a book. he had a wife and tewo kids, when he came out of his coma he was so deperssed because he was sent back to earth and left heaven..."I didn't care about my family I just wanted to get back there." here is the scripture...Luke 16:19-31..A rich man was having a great life, and a beggar was around and gotr the crumbs after the dogs...Well both men dies and the Rich man found himself in torment and could see the beggar in comfort. The rich man wanted to have some comfort but was not gonna get any, but asked if the beggar could go back and warn his brothers of this place..They said NO, you and your chance and so do they".. What if I'm right and you are wrong...Jesus himself told this story.. Jesus was also seen on earth by others whom wrote about him who did not write in the Bible.
  20. Nope, as Christian we are to warn others of their Sin, and rejecting God is the only Sin that cannot be forgivem. The verses I'll share are these. Ezekiel 3:16/9, 33:/10, its not my words...hell is hot and eternity a long haul.
  21. I couldn't date a Catholic, but have many friends who are, marriage is a different ball game. I married a woman who was a believer but turned away later and as Paul stated in 1st Corinthians 7:15 I let her go, and now have been married 26 years to a woman who is in the same church as me. There is a reason Paul wrote about this in 2nd Corinthians 6:14.
  22. Yes, thats true and not weird. Tim has even said he doesn't pray for a win, and neither did I when I played sports for over 50 years. And mine is also not changed, I hope PP92 read this again. God doesn't favor people for a game, he doesn't care, but wants us to mention him when ever we can, and Tim does what he is taught. Look at how Christian Athletes who give blessing to God during an interview? Is it for real or for show? I was teaching 4th grade kids and asked for prayer requests. One kid girl whose dad was a Deacon said. "Today is my birthday and I want plenty of presents!" We also some kids who did a great job as young Christians.
  23. I just read what you have written, and as a Bible tosser thats fine, I love a little debate, its a hobby of mine. It allows me to search the scripture with a purpose. I also said before I researched your comments on religion that I enjoyed reading your comments. I also shared some with members of my family and they were surprised at the idiots comments, but they won't lose any sleep over it. We face people like you all the time. In fact on my job I would be in a Locomotive cab with a guy/girl for 12 hours up and 12 back, and you have no idea how many times the guy would ask me to talk about anything except religion. I respected that. Hell is hot and eternity is a long time. On the "cramming Christianity down the throat", why do you come to the thread? I never go to some threads on here never, I have nothing positive to add, so I just stay away?
  24. if you don't mind share with us your salvation exoerince. Now, you don't want to I understand some folks have a hard time sharing. I love readind/hearing of these moments from my Brothers/sisters in Christ. I also love to hear it with Bible scripture as I take notes in my bible.
  25. Share with us your salvation experince if you want to, now you don't have to and I understand your choice not to. I just love hearing testimonies of my Brothers/sisters.
