Coach Brown has a young team at Wolfe County. But they will improve and get better. The good thing about young teams is that they do get older.

This game could be an early preview for the regional championship.

This game was alot closer than I thought. Knott must have a better team than most expected this season.

Adam is going to be the horse for Owsley County this year.

Lee County is off to a sluggish start. I was actually expecting more out of them this season. But the season is young. It is going to take more than Charles and Pelphrey if Lee Co. is going to have a good season.

She played extremely well. She played around 25 minutes and stepped up big in defending one of Buckhorns guards. In the JV game she also had 18 points.:ylsuper:

The lady Owls won a hard fought battle agianst a much improved and hard playing Buckhorn team tonight. In what has been their best game of the year the lady Owls never trailed and ran their record to 3-1. I didnt know there was a kicked ball. Maybe the player was training for soccer.

One play can change a whole game. Such as a technical, I wasnt there nor did I listen to it. But IMO players that have actions like this hurt their teams, they should put their team first not their emotions.

In what could have very well been the worst offesnsive game of basketball that has been played since Naismith nailed up the peach baskets, Owsley County was able to come out with a hard fought district win. The game resembeled a football game, rough play, and turnovers galore as well as the score. This was not a good game to watch with both teams running they just forgot to add the gunning to the offense. Doug Noble gets his first win with Owls. Owsley by 4

Tough loss for the bobcats. They lost alot last year. However they did just get beat by one of the better teams in the region. Congrats to Coach Noble and Da Horn

Should be a good game, Lee County still has Charles and Pelphrey (spelling) but Buckhorn will be led by Gay. I look for Buckhorn to pull this one out.

In the JV game she started out very timid. Scoring only 2 points in the first half. In the second half she had 12 points and finished with 14 rebounds and 6 blocks.

Large shoes to fill. Randy has a state championship and over 600 wins. You get a good program and good feeder system. But you are expected to go to the state every year. Randy has set the bar high.

The Lady Owls opened their season with a win over rival Wolfe County in Booneville tonight. Owsley jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Taking a 31 to 7 lead to half time. PCC can not beat JBS, Breathitt, Buckhorn, or Hazard. I have spoke to a few people from PCC and they expect for PCC to have the schools first ever losing season this year. Only 8 home games and a brutal schedule.

Lee County lost alot last year. But they have a solid team returning. Aaron Charles will be one of the top players in the 56th district and the 14th region.

I heard today from a source in Breathitt County that the former Owsley player was ruled ineligible to play at Breathitt by the KHSAA. If he plans on attending Breathitt he will have to sit out on season before he can play agian. Which would be his senior year.

Has the kid from Owsley been ruled eligible by the KHSAA?

What about Kendra Combs of Owsley County. She was voted a top 10 player by the 14th region coaches the last two seasons.

Hazard should prevail this season. The Bulldogs have to much talent this year and they have Al Holland.

Kendall is going to be a top player in the 14th for the next several years. Another underclassmen that will be a canidate for POY in a few years is Mika Turner of Owsley County.

The top player will be Heather Sturdivant of PCC. Followed by Lenae Shouse of Breathitt County.
