Congrats on your 1st win! If memory serves me, GC had a pretty good JV squad last year. This likely isn't going to be GC's only win this year.

NF, I wasn't able to make it tonight...any obversations on how Bishop and Haught were utilized (together, alternated, did one get more early carries, etc)? For the kicking game issues, is it the kicker, the holder, the blocking, all of the previous?

I happened to be checking out a new (to me) website with weather info and found that they have a weather camera posted at Dixie. It just happens to be posted at the site where the field construction is underway. This camera will show a video for the last 30 days, one day, or one hour. Looking at today's video, you get some good shots of the concession stand being torn down. The site is http://www.weatherbug.com. Put in a NKY zip code (or use 41051 like I did), and it will brings up the Dixie camera. Click on the camera for more options.

If this is what it takes to make you feel better, then so be it. I'm just glad the majority of the posters are like Tony Danza, Rock Mom, and RockPride on here instead of like you. Those who know how to win with class are the true winners in life.

I only had a chance to listen to the last part of the second quarter and some of the third quarter, but that is enough for me to point out that Boone did have a nice drive going in the third quarter when they ate up about 6 or 7 minutes of the clock and drove the ball from their 20 to the Trinity 22, at which point they were stopped on fourth down because of a Farris fumble. So, while Boone did have have trouble with turnovers on offense, they weren't completely inept like you want everyone to believe. That said, and before LSURock jumps all over me for hanging my hat on that one drive, I want to say Trinity won this game in convincing fashion. And a quick look at the stats shows that Trinity definitely took advantage of the opportunities that Boone gave them via turnover. When a team outgains the other by only 83 yards (282 to 199), you normally wouldn't expect a 45-0 score. Boone lost the turnover game 3-0, and you can't do against a good team like Trinity. Without the turnovers, it would have been a closer game, but I don't believe the outcome would have been different. One thing I was hoping for, but it didn't happen, was the chance for the Trinity kicker to free kick for a field goal right before halftime. The radio announcers were talking about Boone possibly having to punt before the half ended and Trinity would likely get the ball around midfield with a few seconds left. Unfortunately, by the time the officials got the ball set on fourth down, Boone didn't have to run a play, so it didn't happen.

I had to read this thread a couple of times after your comment that the Boone Rebets are being the cocky ones. I don't see it from the Boone fans or, in fact, from anyone that posts from NKY. What I do see is RH saying "Rocks roll" and "stop at Walgreens for Kleenex", you saying "I hope NKY enjoys its last week of 4A football", and SS talking about Trinity's "high octane fast paced offense". Please let me know where I've overlooked the BC cockiness. You want Boone fans to tell you how they will beat Trinity. Yet the same thing you want from the Boone fans you fail to provide for the non Trinity football fan that wants insight into Trinity for this game. All you talked about in your earlier posts is the record of teams Boone lost to and years that had different players on it than this year's team. You also mentioned that it is hard to make a case for a BC victory over Trinity. Was it just as hard to make that case for Dixie last year? What most football fans like myself want to hear from Trinity fans is not only that your team is a a super offensive squad and that they will roll big. Tell us non Trinity followers why. It would be nice to hear more of a discussion of what the Trinity fans think the team needs to do to win, besides just showing up. What has made the team successful in the past seven games? Does the pass open up the run or vice versa? What was Trinity's failures against MBA and X? Were these self inflicted or was Trinity not good enough to win? Tell us how you expect Trinity will execute the game plan to roll over BC.

Its not the size of the stadium that matters, its how the fans use it that is important. :banana: And the couple of times I've been around Dixie's stadium the fans are making noise and maximizing the home field advantage potential for the football team.
