  1. I look for North to rebound after an emotional week, come together as a team and pull off a very good win on the road. North 38 - Marion 21.
  2. Larue is starting to click and will be a very tough matchup for the Chargers. I'm going with Larue, 35-28.

  4. East played a great game! Overcame a lot of injuries. Hope the young man from East injured early has a speedy recovery. Looks like a very good district race come playoff time.
  5. Reynolds is back and will likely be at QB although the Mayberry kid has obviously earned some time there as well. Injuries may be a setback for East but North will realize that East could easily be 5-1 or 4-2 right now and they obviously played fairly well in their one losses to Woodford, Marion and Louisville Central.
  6. I believe any game below varsity can be 10 minute quarters unless 8th graders are involved. If a coach is not careful, officials will try to make them play shorter games.
  7. The Mills kid from Fairdale is tough running and throwing. Although last night sounded rough, North's kids will know that East could just as easily be 4-2 or 5-1 right now. Next week will be a dog fight regardless of records.
  8. North Bullitt led 22-0 at the half and 36-0 at the end of 3 quarters as they defeated J-Town who came in with a 4-1 record. Junior RB Dalton Cissell set a new school career rushing record surpassing the 3,889 yds posted by Kevin Crisp who graduated in 1997. Cissell now has 3,983 yds through his first 28 varsity starts. Cissell finished the night with 188 yds rushing and 2 TDs.
  9. Yes, North - East game will be played Thursday night.
  10. IF North contains the J-Town QB they should do well. He is a very good open-field runner. The comparative scores bode well for North. J-Town beat Waggener 14-6 while North beat Waggener 55-13. I would expect a closer game and if North's QB (Mayberry) plays as well as last week, North should win. I'll call it North 42 - J-Town 20.
  11. Good high school football game. Larue came ready to play and moved the ball at will in the first half. Then again, so did North. Larue took a 25-24 lead following a North Bullitt fumble early in 2nd half. North Bullitt's Jordan Mayberry did a nice job at QB filling in for Reynolds. Dalton Cissell scored on a 80 yd kickoff return and had 5 rushing TD's. BTW, North kicked a 45 yd field goal - its been awhile since they have had a kicker do that.
  12. Even w/o Reynolds, North wins by at least 14. Reynolds backup, Jordan Mayberry, has been very impressive in mop-up duty, JV games and scrimmages. Reynolds should be back for the East game. BTW, East beats Marion by at least 2 TD's tonight as well.
  13. MH, I don't think the East game being moved had anything to do with scouts wanting to attend. BTW, Reynolds will not play Friday night against Larue. All I will say is that it isn't an injury.
  14. MH, I think North's infighting is behind them although with high school kids you never know. They should be fine this week and be ready for week 7, LOL.
  15. They are a pretty good combo in the backfield.
  16. North totally dominated from start to finish. North's QB, R.D. Reynolds threw 4 TD passes, 3 of them to TE Brandon Daniels. Cissell rushed for 2 scores. Reynolds scored on a 70+ yard run. TE Brandon Combs had a 56 yard TD reception. Looks like North will be able to put a lot of points on the board the remaining of the schedule. They are averaging around 400 yds of offense despite being only 2-2.
  17. If Boyle underestimates Lafayette, they will get it handed to them. Lafayette is a poised, physical and veteran team. They get a lot of folks to the ball and punish the runner. Boyle may well be the (?)best(?) 0-4 team in the state after Friday evening.
  18. Yep, the Bowles kid will be a good one no doubt. I'll haave to go with East teaching little brother another lesson in this one, 48-7.
  19. Lafayette's kicker is awesome. Can hit from 55 yds off tee and holder in warmups. Also, against North Bullitt all 4 kickoffs were deep into endzone. A great weapon.
  20. North Bullitt's Senior TE Brandon Daniels (6'1" 185 lbs) had 3 catches for 142 yds and 3 TD's as well as a 53 yd punt return for a TD in North's 66-0 win over Breckinridge County.
  21. North Bullitt led 34-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and 53-0 at the half. Senior TE Brandon Daniels caught 3 passes for 142 yds - all for TD's. Daniels also scored on a 53 yd punt return. Dalton Cissell rushed 6 times for 104 yds and a TD. RD Reynolds was 4-4 passing for 175 yds and 3 TD's.
  22. All rumor and speculation. Was down on himself for poor performance. He was diagnosed with concussion after game (the reason he left game early). Supposed to be released tomorrow. Seemed fine when I saw him this afternoon. Has been at practice every day this week I believe.
  23. Defense, Franklin gave up 15 points to a Waggener team that returned virtually no one from a mediocre team? Lafayette by 14.
  24. When does the one come out that has the Tremendous 26 on the cover?
