Central 29 North Bullitt 20
So did Bullitt East

Valley 32 Fairdale 12
If North continues to play with the same intensity they showed Friday night, they will be right in the mix come November. They "can" run the table and win out with the kind of play they showed vs. Central.

Central 29 North Bullitt 20
OR - perhaps they just happened to play a talented hard-hitting team that might have pulled off the upset had their 2 best players not been slowed by injuries

Central 29 North Bullitt 20
North played a tough hard-nosed game. Costly fumble with North leading 14-7 late in the 1st half allowed Central to tie the game at the half.

Is TWO week dead period actually BAD for heat acclimation? Is this plan better?
Still give them 2 weeks off - just make it at the end of the school year. Just like spring practice everyone's would not have to be the same. The dead period for each school starts the 1st day after students last day. That way kids can be involved with their programs throughout late June/early July and can gradually build up acclimation to heat. I totally agreee there should be mandated gradual build up to "full equipment" practices. A lot of schools start out the 1st day in helmet and shoulder pads. There is no way a kid can get used to the heat if he is wearing an extra 15 lbs of equipment covering his head and chest the very 1st day.

My 3-A Pre-Season Top 10
East will not even be close to a top ten program this year. Talk about one-dimensional, all they have is a good QB. North will have the Reynolds kid at WR probably about 1/2 the time; he is clearly a top-notch receiver. He looked great late last year, especially against Bullitt East and Southwestern. North will beat East by 3 TD's this year in Mt. Washington.

My 3-A Pre-Season Top 10
North Bullitt will be better than Bullitt East and Southwestern this year and next. North lost to East in 2OT and to Southwestern in last 1:00 last season. North will be quite a bit better this year than last.

Franklin-Simpson
What's the word on Franklin-Simpson football this year? Are they having problems down there?

Wide Recievers to watch out for in '06
R.D. Reynolds - North Bullitt - 6'2" 195 lb Junior -- A great receiver as well as a great free safety. In playoff game, last season vs. Southwestern, Reynolds scored TD running, passing, and on a 50 yd INT return. Will be one of the best athletes in 3A this season and next.

Sleepers last year, Star's this year!
Dalton Cissell - North Bullitt Current Freshman -- finished 4th overall in 175 lb weight class at state meet. Currently benches 300 lbs. Rushed for 1,046 yds in first year as varsity player scoring a total of 12 TD's while sharing carries with 2 senior RB's. Will be an impact player in the future.
-
Do you know of anyone who has Ran, Threw and Caught a TD in a single game?
R.D. Reynolds - North Bullitt - This past year in playoff vs. Southwestern ran for TD, passed for TD and returned an INT 50 yds for TD!

Best RB in the state for 2006
One of the better young RB's will be North Bullitt's Dalton Cissell. He rushed for 1,046 yds as a freshman last year avg. 7 yds per carry with 12 TD's. Will get the majority of the carries this year after sharing with 2 senior RB's last season. Placed 4th in the 175 lb class at State Powerlifting meet last month.

Defensive backs 06
R.D. Reynolds - North Bullitt HS --- 6'2" 190 1st Team All-District as a sophomore last season - 7 INT's

Surprise players in 06?
Dalton Cissell - North Bullitt High School - Rushed for 1,026 yds as a freshman last season with over 1,300 all-purpose yds. Scored 9 rushing TD's, also scored on his first touch in varsity football with a 75 yd KO return in the opening game; kicked 11 PAT's; threw a 1/2 back pass that covered 83 yds and returned an interception for TD for 85 yds. Averaged 7 yds a carry. This past weekend finished 4th in 175 lb class at State Powerlifting meet with a 250 lb bench and 500 lb Deadlift. Split carries last season with 2 senior RB's. Will carry the load this year behind a very good line and should be up around 1,800+ yds rushing this year as only a sophomore. Will be hearing a lot about this kid in the next few years.
