Yes Mosley is the only one Knott Central lost unless you want to count Kendra Thomas because of her injury but I believe she is expected to be back mid November.

Knott should be good as well. Although they did lose Mosley which will hurt them they still have a ton of girls coming back. They have had a really good JV team for the past 3seasons. Once Kendra Thomas gets back from her ACL injury and is 100% they should be just as tough as anyone else.

Are either of these teams a public school? If Butler is, I am not sure, then this is the first time a public school has won the title in about 7 years or so.

She doesn't foul. I have had personal experience at blocking her out. She is tough especially when you are about 5'6". She just reaches up and grabs it while you stand there and cant do anything about it really.

Year in year out there has always been talk of Knott Central's boys basketball team getting a new coach all because of the reputation of 2 and out. Justin has done a very good job with what he has been given. When he has been allowed to do what he wanted with the team looked what he got, a district title. It only seems like the boys basketball team is in this situation. At one point in time it was the football team too, but they have found a coach who is turning the program around. Knott Central needs to give Justin, along with any other coach a chance. You can't expect great things out a coach in 2 years. Unless of course the coaches name is Al Holland. Knott Central has a bright future as of right now but unless they can get a coach and KEEP him they are going no where fast.

Glad to see it is nothing to serious, now lets hope Kendra Thomas's knee isn't too bad either. She went down Sunday in the first minute of the Breathitt Knott game.

14th Region Finals are not being played tonight. It will be played tomorrow but I am not sure as to what time.

Powell played with them the first half, even when their big girl went out because of foul trouble. When the 2nd half rolled around, Powell pretty much gave up. Sammy King came out hitting for Knott and scored the first 10 or 11 points. Knott didn't Powell's mind games bother them tonight. Congrats Knott on the win, and go beat Breathitt.

It wasn't the big kid they lost this season it was Cox...and to the best of my knowledge everyone was healthy.

JBS as an underachiever. They were expected to win the region and make a run at state but they got beat out first round of the district.

I think Leslie will win even though it is being played at Powell simply because of the fact that Powell won't be able to get the 50-10 foul situation that they always get because the 15th region officails are calling the tournament.

Perry and Breathitt are both in the bottom bracket. Makes everyone else playing very happy. Get rid of one them semi-finals.

Jimmy is Clark's uncle. Joe, the president of ALC is Clark's father. Joe played at Ohio State but later transferred. From what I have been told through out the years is that all of the Stepp's eventually ended up at either ALC or a smaller D I type school.

Letcher drew Jenkins. Winner advances to the championship. Knott Central drew JBS. Cordia got a bye and plays the winner of the Knott Central and JBS game. Letcher drew Jenkins. Winner advances to the championship. Winner of the Knott/JBS game plays the winner of the Jenkins/Letcher game. The games start the 25 at 6 P.M at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex on the campus of Knott Central.

The seedings are correct. They officailly chose the site today at 3, but according to a coach from KCC the tournament will be held at Knott Central because JBS does not want to play Letcher on their home floor.

The 14th is fairly weak this year. Breathitt is the team to beat. Followed by Knott and Perry. Leslie really hasn't done much this year. The loss of Stidham and the center from last year, her name slips my mind, has really taken a toll on the Lady Eagles. Letcher has really improved since the begginning of the season. As for everyone else they are about the same as always. The 53rd district draw is tomorrow.

Ok this may sound stupid...but could someone fill me in on what is meant by Division III? I didnt know KY had divisions.
