Augger Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 What happened to Powell County in this game. I listened to part of the game and it actually sounded worse than the score states. Mosely and another girl with 20 a piece for Knott. Knott shut down Jones, McFarland, and Rogers. I thought this would have been a close game, ecspecially being on the lady pirates home floor. A bright spot for Powell was Lacy, it sounded like she had a great game. KCC vs Breathitt for the championship.

callmeclutch Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Powell played with them the first half, even when their big girl went out because of foul trouble. When the 2nd half rolled around, Powell pretty much gave up. Sammy King came out hitting for Knott and scored the first 10 or 11 points. Knott didn't Powell's mind games bother them tonight. Congrats Knott on the win, and go beat Breathitt.
Big Game Player Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Megan Mosely was just too much. Both teams were evenly talented. Powell pressed and KCC's press breaker is named Megan. It was one on 4. Powell county is tring to deny, Megan gets open dribbles through them and then dishes to an open teammate or score herself. Powell played alright the first half but foul trouble killed them. KCC plays as hard as any team I've ever seen. If Mosely has a big game and can get in the open court then they could play Breathitt down to the wire but she'll need some help.

I think I'm safe to say Breathitt would have a totally different game in front of them today in the finals. Talk about running and gunning with these two running side by side.
GO15AROD Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Knott took control of the game in the second quarter. They outscored Powell 14-3 in the quarter. Mosley was too much in the second half. Megan Mosley had 23 points and Sammy King had 20 points for Knott Central. Ashley Lacy had 15 points and Courtney Jones had 10 points for the Lady Pirates. Congrats to the Lady Patriots on the win and to the Lady Pirates for a great season.
