Okay, so why are we talking about next year? That's going to be a completely different team, and they are losing their 2 best players, and a very nice player in King, as well as a good post presence in Tolle. Let's talk about this year at Rupp...not next year.

Trevor Setty is playing better basketball than Russ Middleton. Yes, he can shoot 3's, but he can also drive into the lane and hit runners. Russ does the same thing that Setty does...spot up and try to hit 3's. That's where he gets a high percentage of his points from. Setty definitely belongs in the top 15, and maybe Russ does too...but right now I'd take Setty over Middleton. Hopefully he'll step up next week at state.

I think there's a good chance that we'll see Montgomery back at Diddle next year.

Yeah same here...I don't think she'd be the best fit at Mason County, but who knows? I still say go with someone who's already in the program and knows the girls. Anyone know when they're going to decide?

I know that the Mason County/Boyd County game is cancelled for tomorrow morning.

Anyone know where Maggie is thinking about going to college?

Congrats to Montgomery on a very fine season. And congrats to Maggie...you had a tremendous career...not many seniors can say they've been to the state tournament all 4 years they were in high school. That's a tremendous accomplishment. Good luck at wherever you decide to go at the next level.

It's definitely a challenge stopping either of them, but I agree that I would rather stop Cline, as Chambers is awfully hard to stop sometimes.

Middleton is FAR from being the best passer on the team. Darius Miller is much more unselfish, and is the better passer.

Okay, so I don't know much about FS, but Montgomery County beat a good Henry Clay team last night, and had leads up to 12 points. I'll say this will be a close game down to the wire, and I'll take Montgomery County by 5. What's everyone else think?

If you go to http://www.khsaa.org, there is a place on the left that you can listen to live broadcasts of the game. Just click on that, and then find the game that you want to listen to. That's what I did last night for the Henry Clay/Montgomery County basketball game.

Just a 4-peat I guess..haha, I don't know. But she is an excellent player, and she dominated tonight. And when asked about her performance after the game, she was quick to point out the other players on her team instead of talking about her accomplishments. Just seems like a great kid.

I think that they should give it to someone in the school system, like Jason Butler. He's been with the program long enough and knows enough about the program to make it successful in the future.

Webb really stepped up in the second half tonight. She ended up with 13 points, 10 of them late in the second half when the game was close. She also had around 8 or 9 rebounds.

Final. Maggie Prewitt had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. She left the game in the 3rd quarter with a tweaked ankle, but came back in the game, and she played outstanding. Probably would have had a triple double if she didn't have to leave because of her ankle. She was 6-7 from the field, 1-1 from the 3 point line, and 6-8 from the line. She was the Kentucky State Farm Insurance Player of the Game. Good performance by Montgomery County, but they turned the ball over down the stretch too much. They should have won by 10. Also, Kohls from Henry Clay was shooting lights out down the stretch hitting 3 after 3. Mckenzie Lee didn't have a very good game, she turned the ball over a lot, didn't really get in the groove offensively, and shot 50% from the free throw line. All in all, good job by Montgomery, and good luck. They will have to step it up tomorrow night if they want to beat Franklin-Simpson.

Kohls airballs a 3. 5.5 seconds left in the ball game. M. Prewitt is fouled. Maggie Prewitt misses her first free throw. Her second free throw is good. She has 19. Both teams are putting in all their subs. Morgan hits a lay-up at the buzzer. Montgomery wins 65-61.

Lee is fouled in the backcourt by Price. She'll go back to the line where she is 2-4 tonight, but she's 71% on the season. The first free throw is no good. 26 seconds left in the game. She makes the second free throw. 64-59.
