Maggie Prewitt had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. She left the game in the 3rd quarter with a tweaked ankle, but came back in the game, and she played outstanding. Probably would have had a triple double if she didn't have to leave because of her ankle. She was 6-7 from the field, 1-1 from the 3 point line, and 6-8 from the line. She was the Kentucky State Farm Insurance Player of the Game.

 

Good performance by Montgomery County, but they turned the ball over down the stretch too much. They should have won by 10. Also, Kohls from Henry Clay was shooting lights out down the stretch hitting 3 after 3. Mckenzie Lee didn't have a very good game, she turned the ball over a lot, didn't really get in the groove offensively, and shot 50% from the free throw line.

 

All in all, good job by Montgomery, and good luck. They will have to step it up tomorrow night if they want to beat Franklin-Simpson.

Webb really stepped up in the second half tonight. She ended up with 13 points, 10 of them late in the second half when the game was close. She also had around 8 or 9 rebounds.

Congrats to Montgomery.... hopefully Prewitt has no ill effects from her injury (didnt' sound too bad) and will be ready to go tommorrow night...

 

Key will be getting quality play from Webb and Garland off the bench in what could be a high scoring ballgame....

 

Quarters has been the stumbling block for them the past three years... if they win tommorrow night, I like their chances to get to Saturday Night....

Prewitt is one of the very few seniors in the state of Kentucky that can say that she played in the sweet 16 all 4 years. What an accomplishment. Good luck, hope you make it to Saturday. There are only 2 teams in the state tourney returning this year from last year so I know there can't be that many seniors that have ever accomplished this task. It is just so hard to repeat or 3-peat but what is 4 called? quad peat? lol Congrats.

Just a 4-peat I guess..haha, I don't know. But she is an excellent player, and she dominated tonight. And when asked about her performance after the game, she was quick to point out the other players on her team instead of talking about her accomplishments. Just seems like a great kid.

Great job by the Lady Indians. They only play one senior but she is a good one. Hopefully Indians can continue to win and also build a solid foundation to make a deep run next year.
