Congrats to Montgomery on a very fine season. And congrats to Maggie...you had a tremendous career...not many seniors can say they've been to the state tournament all 4 years they were in high school. That's a tremendous accomplishment. Good luck at wherever you decide to go at the next level.

It has been a pleasure to cover the Montgomery Girls while doing Bourbon games the past two seasons... I was rooting for them but it sounded like they just couldn't get their shot to fall at times....

 

4 Staright Quarterfinal appearances... some people call that the Buffalo Bills, I call that a heck of an accomplishment....

 

Mackenzie Lee= my pick for preseason 10th region POY next season...... Jehlik and E. Prewitt might compete for a spot on the first team... wouldn't be shocked if they make another state run next year...

I was at the games tonight. My 1st time ever to a state tournament. I think if the balls that went in and came back out stayed in for Montgomery Co. they would have won this game. It seemed to me they just had no luck with there shots.

I hated to see the Lady Indians lose this game tonight. I really liked these girls even after they beat my lady royals.

For anyone in attendance, did Maggie's ankle seem to bother her much in this game?

Montgomery could not get their free throws to fall either. It just wasn't their night. Congrats on a great season. On Maggies ankle I was listening to the pregame show on the radio with the coach and she said Maggie Would never show it if it was hurting, she has so much heart. She has not practiced full speed I think the coach said for like three weeks. She has been just shooting the ball at practice but not running plays. Maggie would have played if you had to carry her out there on a stretcher. She is one tough young lady and where ever she goes to play they are getting not only a good ball player but a very nice young lady. She has made Montgomery County very proud.I just wish they could have went all the way. Franklin Simpson was a quick team but Montgomery missed way too many easy shots. It just wasn't meant to be.Good luck Maggie
