Tonight was a joy to watch, 4 in a row. I also think you are right about starting to make a statement for being the 2nd best team. I actually heard Coach Reitz say before he left that he felt we were the 2nd best team this year.

Good Win for Reitz, he hasn't beat them here in the district the last two years.

You may be right in this being a great hire for CCHS. Reitz is tough to replace, but I think we have found the man.

Was it 7 years or 7 games? I heard Mr. Strong say that the last time he remembered was the finals of the district tourney in 2002 when BBHS upset PC at PC in the semi and the Camels won and went on to regional as winner.

We have played PC 3 times already with our purple team. We are 1-2. It should be interesting to see you guys play. The Monroe kid is a strong player, and he has a strong cast to join him. He and the Strong kid make a good pair.

I understand that the administrative thought process may have changed with the Super. I don't think anyone but Code was offered the position.

Maybe the new super has changed his mind?

I hate to see Coach Reitz go, but I wish him the best.

No question about it, proven experience as a winner is always a plus. My guess is that it just wasn't time for Carr to make a move.

The bigger challenge for Coach Code is how he determines how to fill the bench with players. Last years junior class was to large, probably my biggest fault with Coach Reitz. I see more talent coming up and if the true goal is winning I see many tough choices.

Purely speculation, but it would be my guess that since the former coach left so late, that all the assistants were already hired. So I would assume Bradshaw, Mady, and Enzweiler will be staying for at least this year. I guess only the principal and AD know for sure.

Very interesting post, and all information and speculation was nice to read during the process. I don't look for the rivalry to die down at all. If anything I think it will be stronger.

Well I guess that I was correct on picking someone with 10th region experience. I have also heard that there were 4 good canidates and that the new principal was 110% behind her new coach. It is good to see this kind of support for a new hire. Congrats to Coach Code, somebody said that he was seen dying the green shirts to purple last night!!

Seems like everyone knows about what is happening and who is interviewing. It will be interesting to see what happens when the dust settles. Yes the names are impressive, but i still think the best situation is to go with someone from the 10th.

What makes you think that Strong wants him? Strong has worked in 10th region schools his entire career except for a year at Dixie. I would venture to say that if he was advising the ad and principal he would be looking for someone with 10th region experience. CC has a great football coach that understands Northern KY, now we need a bball coach that understands the road to the "Fieldhouse."

It heard it officially on Friday that Coach Reitz is leaving. He has been with our camels for the past four years. I must admit that many felt that he would have more success than what has been accomplished. Regardless of his record, the program is in better shape than it was when he got it. I hope the administration finds someone from the 10th region that understands the area. I think there will be plenty of people to apply and that the new principal will do whatever is needed to find a great coach. Best of luck Coach Reitz on your return to Harrison County.

That has always been a possibility since Mike's son did not go to school at CC. I think Mike has a year or two left in him, and has potentially the best preseason group he has seen. I would take something like coaching his son to make him move. I don't think HC could meet his salary.

It really comes down to the principal and the SBDM policy on hiring.

Congrats to Coach Rison on a terrific career. I have seen his teams upset many at the Fiedhouse. I guess I am a little disappointed that he will miss coaching a regional tourney on his own home court.

I look for the Saturday morning session to be better than the evening!
