My senior we were very good ,and we took a very business like approach to games. I remember my dad getting on me about being a captainand not getting the team fired up. I explained to him that the quieter we were the more focused we were. I always had my thoughts on our scouting reports. We also gave a trophy at the end of the year called the vulture. It went to whoever put the most players out on the other team with big hits. It was always my goal to win this award which I did both my junior and senior year.

You're right and our backs are actually 2 steps slower in person than on tape. I really don't know how we've gotten this far.

It's fun to get on here and watch fans of each team talk their talk. Please understand that us folks in Frankfort fully appreciate and respect the tradition that Beechwood has. I guess our fans are trying to say that why we respect it it doesn't intimidate us. We have played Danville the last five years and while athlete wise we match up closer to them our players have gotten used to playing a marquee program. I am really looking forward to this matchup of contrasting styles. And yes we know your alls QB and no 12 can flat out fly.All you Beechies have a safe trip.

127 south from Sparta is mostly two lane a little curvey, but not too bad. It depends on where you would be picking up US60 it tends to run thru the middle of small towns, so that would slow you down some. I think I would probably take the Sparta route.

I didn't know Beechwood played Highlands.

You would think being in the same city they would at least be in the same region.

No. The blog spoke of all these stars they've shut down, Penix played for Danville in one of the state championship games against Beechwood.

How did they do against these teams?

I read the blog about Beechwood shutting these star players down, but again I didn't see any mention of the Penix kid from Danville in there.

^ Unrealistic expectations. Putting up 50 on average teams is one thing. I don't know that Beechwood has ever had 50 scored on them.

He's not talking long play off run experience, he's refering to Frankfort's team experience. We are not like Beechwood where we can just reload every year, but every once in awhile you run into a special group of kids. There are 13 seniors that have been together since middle school and several of them are multiple state track champions. I look at every playoff game is just as big as any, you lose you go home. Of course the competition gets better, but the pressure is still the same, you must win to advance. I am looking forward to one heck of a ballgame Friday night.

For this year yes. Second round against Danville last year was packed.

Give us some suggestions we're always looking for new ways to attack teams. What do you think we could do that would be more effective? The offense only scored 28 Friday, but I believe we could've put one more on the board at the end of the game, but we didn't need it.

Somebody lied to you, everytime we play Franklin County it's standing room only.

If you don't want seafood Gibby's on Broadway by the old state capital is very good. Sandwiches, burgers, chili, salads, spaghetti, all good stuff.

Frankfort just needs to mail Beechwood the semi-final trophy. We obviously don't have a chance. The field itself is in about the same shape as anyone elses for this time of year. I think the Mayfield people are refering to the stadium and field houses. The visitors fieldhouse was built in the 1920's and is a littlle on the small side. Frankforts' field house at one time was an old grade school. Frankfort moved from the old fieldhouse to the old Bellepoint school my junior year which was 1972. As we told the Mayfield folks the visitors bleachers are small and like tthey said unless Frankfort has a better turn out seating shouldn't be a problem.

Man I can't believe everybody's ragging us out for our classic architecture.
