LB13 its like that every night. The Beechwood Basketball program in sad shape. Its the worst I've seen in 20 years.

Slusher and Stringer will be playing in the outfield with Slusher getting at look at 3rd. With Stringer's and Slusher's speed and bats they could be in the 1 or 2 spot in the order. Combs and Hamliton will be playing the corners with Stringer in the outfield with Slusher. Fieger will be pitching only at first until he improves at the plate, he could also provide defense in the outfield in the late innings. The other soph is Jake Schmidt behind the plate. Jake is also a very good hitter. Throw in Jason Suchanek (jr) this could be Beechwoods lineup 1 through 6. But I'm pretty sure the upperclassmen will get first shot.

Silver Grove and Ludlow. Its a toss up.

Beechwood will be fun to watch. BW will be young with having at the least 3 freshman and 2 sophomores in the lineup. The key will be how fast the young Tigers can adjust to the varsity game.

I would have to throw Walton in the conversation. They have a very nice ballpark.

Freshman Bankemper and Slusher are the leading scorers for the frosh and JV teams. Should the Tigers try their luck with them at the varsity level?

England for Ryle and Slusher for Beechwood were selected to the all tourney team.

NCC vs Cooper at noon Beechwood vs Ryle at 1:20 (3rd Place Game) Holmes vs Cov Cath at 2:40 ( Championship Game)

Beechwood lost to Holmes. Beechwood plays Ryle in consolation game.

Holmes defeated Simon Kenton and Beechwood defeated Holy Cross.

Holmes defeated Simon Kenton and Beechwood defeated Holy Cross.

St Henry beat Bellevue and Beechwood beat Bracken Co.

How long will the Colonels be without BIG WILL?

Say what you really mean. You are upset that the frosh(5) have been moved up and are doing really well. What were the returns like when they weren't there? If it wasn't for the frosh against Paris, there would have been 2 returns for a touchdown. Why can't everyone just be happy for the success that the Beechwood Tigers are having no matter if they are underclassmen or not? I'm sorry that you are upset that little Johnny got replaced or no one is throwing him the ball. Please get use to it its going to happen again this week. The players that step it up in practice and games will play.

VOR, Can you remember a time when bringing up freshman for a playoff run has impacted a team as much as it has for Beechwood? A freshman starting at QB and TE.Two as backup LB's and RB's and starting on special teams.

I don't think they will start, but at least 4 will play alot with the #1's. I agree with you RB one will get a score.

The discipline starts at home. If the adults act like idiots, in some cases the boys aren't too far behind. Once the parents clean up their acts, BW will be fine. The coaches can do only so much.

Now Ethan is playing with the guys at Beechwood(Ft. Mitchell Spartans) and he gained alot. They are 2 different teams that you just can't compare. This BW team has gone 15-1 in 2 years and won back to Frosh Championships. That will be hard for any team to do in the future.

How did the Cardinal's Frosh do this year?

I would say about 14 to 15 saw significant minutes, with about 6 that hardly came off the field. The coaches did a great job of rotating the line on D. Beechwood only dressed 24 players.

With Beechwoods QB every down is a passing situation.

Any idea on the outcome of the Ryle / Campbell County frosh game last night?

In passing situations Cov Cath pulled #22 and put#2 on Slusher. DB # 2 covered him deep while the linebacker #14 cover him short. Now to me that looked like that was designed to stop the passing game.

It seemed like last night Cov Cath put an a whole lot into stopping the passing game of Fieger and Slusher. I think this opened up the run game and allowed Stringer to have great game he had last night. My congrats to the Tigers O line they did a great job.

Don't get ahead of yourself Beechwood still has to win out.
