Yeah, it just doesn't seem right that a team can't just end it's season with a win -- or at least on a positive note -- instead of the anti-climax of getting destroyed on the field in their last game.

Heard a story once, from the mother of a kid whose team suffered a (predictable) blowout in round one. I don't want to say which team or year this was. She said that the team actually tried to lose their last district game, because A. they couldn't afford to make the long road trip and B. the kids didn't want to go all that way just to get clobbered on the field as much as the scoreboard.

I know there will probably be a million logical holes in my plan, but this just came to mind while I was reading through the thread. Would something like this work?: First Round District 5 #1 vs. District 6 #3 District 5 #2 vs. District 6 #2 District 5 #3 vs. District 6 #1 District 5 #4 vs. District 6 #4 The idea is that there would be less #4's being blown out. In a sense they'd have a play-in game against each other. The other six teams would follow the normal pattern. The main drawback I see is that it lets a #4 team get one round farther. But if they're truly bad, they're going to get killed in the next game anyway. At least their presence in the playoffs will have been somewhat earned. Okay...let me have it!

I'm just used to the old days when you could see all that night's games at once.

I was shocked by this as well. Only 6A and 5A were covered. The other four classes didn't get a mention. The headline declared those 5A and 6A games as the areas top games of the night.

That was our strategy Friday. Honestly, I blame the whole thing on Frank329. A couple of the crows were foolishly trying to assume Frank's legendary quasi-official position. I fear he may have laid a curse upon the field that night. But, being a loyal fan, he let us off with just a heart-stopping scare. :eek: Just in case, I'm bringing a little "bad mojo" repellant with me this week.

What does everyone think about Warren Central now?

We could do without the 69 visitor points though.
