Final

Sounded like a great game.

Anyone?

Battle till the end with Walton scoring with about 28 seconds left to take the lead. These teams have a pretty good rivalry and I would love to see them play in the regular season too.

Fun one. Well, fun if you are a Walton fan. Congrats to the Bearcats on pulling out the win.

Way to go Bearcats!!! Keep up the great work!!

This happens when you can not depend on an extra point. WOW I am surprised at this one and it just goes to show you scores against other opponents who play each other does not mean a thing. That is why they play the game congrats Walton Verona and my good friend Coach David French on this win good luck going forward. JD

Great battle in Verona. Walton's D was put in a field position pickle a couple of times, but kept fighting. Mason Compton was a beast churning out yards for the Bearcats. He played with no IQ tonight (no, I Quit)! Physical game. Both teams brought it.

Great game to take in. No team had any unanswered points so we had a see saw back and forth game. I really thought Lloyd had it in the bag when at one point on Walton's final drive they faced a huge 3rd and like 15. Somehow, Walton converts for the first down and keeps the drive alive. Definitely, Compton was the difference maker and would not be denied. Kid ran very hard, many times getting 4 to 5 yards more even after getting wrapped up. Certainly this game could have went either way as was mentioned in the prediction thread. Walton having home field may have been some advantage, but the real difference in this game was special teams. Extra points vs no extra points, punts, punt returns and a punt return fumble, and an exceptional final kick off by Walton after their last score that pinned Lloyd down inside their own 5, giving them little chance to do anything with 20 something seconds left. Congrats to both teams on their their effort last night and congrats to WV on their win.
