I would worry more about Russell and Belfry than anyone else right now. 3 state championships in the last 3 years. You can't possibly overlook them. OC is 2-4 right now. Not having a stellar year so far. Russell is 4-1 and Belfry is 5-1 with both teams losses coming from AAA Ashland. Russell is looking at a possible 9-1 season as it stands now. I can't speak for Belfry because I know nothing of their district. But I suspect they will at least go 8-2.

Answer me this? Why is it you can say that Powell is supposed to play teams better than they are to prepare them. But when I come on here and say the same things about Russell you turn into a smart alec about it. It's no different. Everyone wants to play good quality opponents to make them better. Why can't Russell?:confused: Maybe you could schedule us a game with your team. I have no idea who it is but we are having trouble finding a game to fill our last opening. Be it a scheduling conflict or people just flat not wanting to play. We can't get that last game.

We don't need to get over ourselves. We need to get more quality opponents to help us along as well. All this does is make us soft for the playoffs. Look at 2004. We needed to play a whole game against Belfry but our weak schedule that set most of the starters out after the half did not prepare us for playing a whole game.

You know I'll have to second that. Michael told me before the game to watch him. He definitely impressed me.

From listening to the Ashland/Raceland game and seeing the Greenup/Russell game. The Rams should win this one handily.

Can the Devils regroup after a tough game against the Tomcats and get clicking on all cylinders. We come into this game 1-1 after a tough week 3 loss.

Great game but it still does not change any of my fond memories that come out of the hank.

So can Wal-Mart and Norman's Locker room. EDIT: Why would anyone need rain gear. I thought the game was rescheduled till tonight because it was not supposed to rain.:confused:

just drove by the field and as of 9:00 am no one was there working on the field. Seems to me that they need to get it in gear so it will be ready for tonights game.:sssh:

We would rather let our play do the talking rather than setting around talking about who's is bigger than who's. Seems to me that in that last few years there are more fond memories to come out of the Hank but who is keeping track.:sssh:

I think nothing of a vast conspiracy. I just don't think that postponing it one day will make absolutely any difference in the quality of the game. You do stand a chance of having a better gate because it's the only game in town. But I can honestly say from what I have witnessed over the years is that the Russell fans would have packed their sidelines rain or shine. But as everyone has said we have no choice in the matter. I'll be there tomorrow night just like everyone else.

But 1 day will NOT dry the field. The damage done tomorrow will still be irreparable. Russell fans would have turned out rain or shine. And I don't know if tomorrows forecast is all that much more football friendly. As for both teams agreeing I cannot say for sure. If necessary I could call Russell's AD to confirm. So in the interest of the teams or the fans I still cannot understand how much difference 1 day will make.

I'll give you that. As much as it pains me to say it Dickie does a MUCH better job of play by play and keeps you into the game. He's just a BIT to opinionated for my tastes. But I will be listening to him while I watch the game tomorrow night.

And that shows how much class some fans have. You simply cannot lump every Russell fan under that umbrella. Doing so makes you even worse that they are.
