If I'm not mistaken I believe the KHSAA mandated that EVERY semi-state set-up was to be Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Then adjustments had to be made because of weather and graduations.

I know East Carter - Lawrence Co. is cancelled for tonight. Game will be Saturday @ 11:00, second game will be Saturday @ 6:00 if necessary.

I say Wilson for Raceland and Smoot for Fleming Co. That would be 2 very good left-handers going at each other.

I believe it is Billy Logan and Eric Craft of GC.

Dakota Greenslate (Greenup Co.) and Derek Stapleton (East Carter) will be representing region 16 in the Jr. All-star game this year, which will be played at UK.

Why? Fleming Co. is out there, East mercied Fleming Co., it seems that would be the best draw for Raceland. East is 14-4 in region, including 3 1-run losses. Raceland vs East would keep EC out of Greenup Co's bracket though.

Rule was changed a few years ago, missed bases, leaving a base early on a tag have to be appealed now, either by the coach from the dugout or players on the field.

Stapleton went 5 for 5 with 3 walks and 8 RBI's in the Tourney. Also was winning pitcher in the finals.

Lewis is pretty good, I wouldn't save anyone. They have a couple of nice pitchers of their own. This should be a great game.

Was it a varsity game? There was no score on the KHSAA website.

It was a pretty even tourney for the most part.

East Carter and Hopewell-Loudon OH both finished 2-1, Lewis Co. and Sheldon Clark finished 1-2. The first tiebreaker would be head to head, Hopewell beat EC 12-11 in the last game of the tourney, which finished at midnight, so they won the tourney.

I think Madison Central in 1982 was the last undefeated team in KY. They were like 40-0 or something.

Martin threw for GC, complete game. East had tying run on 3rd in 7th and couldn't get it across.

Elliott is much better than years past. They actually look disciplined, and are making strides. It's good to see. They still have a long way to go, but are headed in the right direction.

I am surprised he went this long this early in the season, I would think 30-45 pitches would be the cut-off this early. I was at this game, Raceland should have won. Boyd looked very weak offensively. Both teams should be solid as the year goes on.
