I don't think the issue was Fairview giving KIDS clothing, the issue brought up was giving a bunch of FAMILY MEMBERS clothing!!!

KHSAA has not stopped this, each situation is handled on a case by case basis. Smith kid at Lewis Co. was a car wreck, broke his neck, missed his senior year and was granted an extra year of athletic eligibility by the KHSAA.

Don't believe that will happen. Still think Tuesday-Saturday format would be better all things considered.

Start the game at 7:00 and most everyone will be home around midnight.

Ok, I see. I kind of figured that would please the school districts instead of upsetting them, most don't allow their teams to play on Sunday anyway unless they're in the All A which I think is hypocritical!!!

This WOULD be the best way of doing it, even play the finals on Saturday night if you want. The semis need their own day, the teams need to rest a litte and get off playing on Sunday, come on!!

Have no problem with kids playing more than 1 sport, that is a personal choice, the same personal choice as a kid that decides to concentrate on just 1 sport, it is a personal choice!!

Football has 2 weeks of spring practice AND they play passing league games in the summer, I'm like Spindoc, why do football guys always have to bring up basketball. ALL the sports can do things as soon as school is out if they want, not just basketball!!

Not too long ago, maybe 3-4 years. Heard they're thinking about cutting the # of games in basketball because of parents calling their state legislators and complaining there are too many Christmas tournaments and they can't go anywhere over Christmas. Why not leave it at 30 and let each school principal/AD/coach decide how many games they can play. Just because you CAN play 30 games doesn't mean everyone HAS to play 30!!

You are correct, they make FAR more on the boys basketball state tournament than the football playoffs, as a matter of fact I believe they make more on the girl's state tournament than the football championships!!

Marketing Director was being sarcastic. But like doubledeuce said, I know they have people in charge of the program just like they do everything else. If they're losing $75,000 on programs whoever it is is not doing their job!!!

Don't print so many!!!! Obviously the KHSAA needed a better marketing director making that decision!!! The program is a state tournament tradition that should not end!!!

I think you're exactly right!! It seems high school is more about the team and AAU is more about individuals!!

I seriously doubt Berea is going to host a tournament and then not play in it!!!
