Give East Carter credit, they are very good, in that game they also were playing without their 6'1" center and other girls sick. Great win by Holy Cross today, thought they were the only team that could beat E-Town because of the very 3 things that were listed above!!

THIS year might be a dead horse but it's worth it if it causes any changes in the future. Hard to talk about something BEFORE it happens!

AND AGAIN, I'm NOT talking about overall performance, I'm talking about ONE GAME AND ONE NIGHT where 3 officials DID NOT have the same whistle on BOTH ENDS of the floor and everybody that was there acknowledges it!! By the way, I've also been told by higher ups that the 9th put the top 6 rated officials all on the boys and the rest on the girls, MIGHT have something to do with why a GAME like that happens!!

READ CLOSER, BOY'S games were great, GIRL'S games stunk, 2 different sets of officials!!

EXACTLY what I've been getting at in my posts on the East Carter/Ashland game, and again this is ONE game that was POORLY officiated by all 3 officials (by the way, have been to 4 boys games now and the officials from the 9th were EXCELLENT in all 4 games, VERY consistent on both ends) ok, East Carter, 2 on 1 fast break, kid from Ashland comes from behind and makes a volleyball spike block, force of the block drove East player to the floor, no foul and it SHOULDN'T have been because it was a GREAT play!!! 1 poss later, same official, Miss Basketball candidate for Ashland goes to the basket, 6'1 kid from East goes from behind for a block, misses and misses the player by probably about a foot, sends her to the line!! Same type of game ALL night!!

Interpretation words only, what officials say when calling fouls, displacement, verticality, need any more???

Not sure which side you're taking with that comment, as I said before, been there and done that, too old to go back but the game still goes on for more kids, however, MANY current officials have made the same comments to me that I've made on here, again, we're talking about ONE game, just take on responsibility for it or keep passing it off and think officials are above what I've said!!

Again, agree 100%, thank you!!! An earlier poster said to respect officials for doing something they love for very little money, what about respecting the KIDS for doing something THEY LOVE WITH THEIR TEAM MATES by giving them your best shot every time out and when that doesn't happen just admitting "I really screwed that game up tonight" (which officials get another chance from, seniors don't) instead of all this other CHATTER!!

Really, thought it might help me know something about officiating a game, my mistake!! nope, not that simple, there will be no "keeping quiet" but you're right, I've NEVER seen an official get mad at a coach/player and let it effect their game, I've never seen officials "protect" OR "assume" calls for a Mr./Miss basketball candidate, they're all PERFECT as you say and that NEVER happens, I'm sure you've never seen it either!! LOL!!!!!!!

IF you had read the other posts you would've known that I've ALREADY BEEN AN OFFICIAL, just follow the kids at school now!! By the way, there is no "better luck next year" for those seniors that deserved better than what they got the other night!!!

I'm from the 16th and will agree, most of them aren't very good, the ones from the 9th doing the girls aren't very good either!!

I'll answer that 2nd grade post with this, it sure is in the rule book, "whenever there is an advantage gained"!! If that's zero, fine, if that's 20, fine too!!! Kids just want a consistent game on both ends, didn't happen!!!

As always, officials get offended, have ALREADY been there and done that, too old now, so get off YOUR inflated ego (and rear end too probably), officials are NOT a sacred cow, even though a bunch think they are!!

NOT a parent, just a follower of the team, not venting, stating facts. Just saying the kids deserved better than what they got from the officials, take on the responsibility doing a good job for the kids!!
