good points on both!!! Life is a competition, so are sports, it's a privilege to play high school sports, not a right of age, if you earn it you get it!!
Still think stickler has proven over the years she deserves to be there, not putting anyone else down, just trying to give her the recognition she deserves
If it is strike 1 or strike 2 it's NOT an out on a foul tip, just a strike and the ball remains alive, if the same thing happens on strike 3 it's an out and the ball remains alive!
If the ball is foul tipped, goes directly off the catcher's mitt, then it can hit any part of the catcher's body and if he catches before it hits the ground it is strike 3 and the ball is alive.
It is NOT a force out in the traditional definition because the runner is not being forced to run as in a 6-4-3 doubleplay, it is simply a situation in which the defense can tag the runner or the base, the run counts if the runner on 3rd touches home before the other runner or base is touched.
Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year no one below the the 7th grade can play up on a high school team UNLESS they have already done so. Example, a 5th grader played on the high school tennis team THIS year, then they would be allowed to play next year on the high school team also.
