Greenup County 8 Boyd County 5

Featured Replies

Final from Greenup County. Boyd led 5-1 going into the top of the 7th. Lions wasted a strong pitching performance by Arthur who ended up with a no decision.

it was like that old song "You Dropped A BOMB On Me"

We'll find out tomorrow morning if the coaches have any love for the Musketeers.

Would love to see Boyd get another shot at Greenup. If Arthur isn't pulled in the 7th I think this one would have belonged to the Lions. In my humble opinion.

Who did Greenup throw?

James started and Logan threw the 7th but I don't know if anyone threw in between.

I'm doubting any love will be sent the 16th Region way. It is sad but a very good probability.

I don't think Boyd would see James again either.:sssh: He is #4 or #5 pitcher on the staff.IMO

He walked the leadoff hitter committed an error then gave up a single up the middle. He was done. Coach probably felt obligated to give him a chance to finish, Truth be told he was out of gas after six. He pitched a heck of a game. Boyd played great through six. Great comback from Greenup. They have a nice team.
