Carver played an excellent two games. Raceland brought out the bats yesterday to secure the win against Russell. I think they momentum turned for them on the Fleming County game on a very bad call. That is to take nothing away from Fleming. They had some very nice hits.

I have said many times that John Scott is one of the best hitters in the state. He can flat out hit a baseball.

I would like to see him get a chance to play baseball while at Georgetown. However, it is tough to be a two sport athlete at the college level.

Geez! I mean he was a standout on the football field, signed to play football at the next level with Georgetown and now he is tearing it up on the baseball field.

The Rams had the bats out for this game. As stated Caver was really hitting. Jones and Huffman had triples. If I am not mistaken during the first game only one strike out all the rest were basically solid hits.

Huffman pitched until the sixth and Jones finished game.

Thanks oldram, it looks like Huffman is having a very good year. I think Jones is doing well also.

 

It also sounds like Barr has become an asset.

There has been alot of these boys that have really stepped up to the plate. Barr is a huge asset and seems to really gel with the other boys. The younger boys have come in right when we needed them. Reid, Ratcliff, Darby, Bonzo have all been helping out in all capacities. Wilson and Carver has took over leadership of the team and done an outstanding job. Reynolds has been solid and Ristner has been another excellent addition to the team. Mckee is another solid player but has been plaqued with an injury. We really need him back healthy to pitch.

Shawn Reynolds has been hitting extremely well he has a 15 game hitting streak and is 22 for 48 for a .458 batting average.

Shawn has been very impressive, thanks for posting the stats.

I also agree about Shawn. Always consistent in all areas of the game. My question is did this game make the paper at all. So many of these boys had such a great game that I was suprised that it did not make the paper. Ok not really but my hopes were up that it would.
