  1. Blocked punt on 2 yard line. 1 play and in 21 0.
  2. 3 and out for polar bears. 20 yard punt from end zone. 2 plays later beechwood in end zone. 14 0. Tigers
  3. Beechwood set a record. Kicked off first, recovered fumble. ran one play and scored. 15 secs into game
  4. Didn't make the game, but it sounds like BWs running game is going to be ok if Studer doesn't return. Great job O Line. From the update thread and in-person game reports, sounds like Stringer was running hard. Great job Tigers. Keep it up. I do not want to make the call to the hotel in BG to cancel the reservation I made after the Franklin County game. Also, since I'm so critical of coaches on this area, I will say great job on refocusing them after the bad second quarter. As I was taking the kids Trick-or-treating and reading the update thread, I was having terrible flashbacks of NCC kicking the wheels of the bus. Even teams with lots of talent will have set backs against good competition. Righting the ship and getting back on track is how you keep moving. Looking forward to the playoffs.
  5. No, if they didn't win a title in their own class, then they weren't even the best in that class. PERIOD!
  6. You two really ruin these threads. Fortunately I am a huge Brossart fan, otherwise my opinion of a team would be tainted by another ridiculous fan. I would suggest you guys find the PM feature.
  7. I can't believe I forgot about this game. Sounds like a great one.
  8. Looking like whoever has the ball last.
  9. Well then, thanks to the South Kenton program for preparing them for BW
  10. You are right, no one in your county would, but Dixie is in Kenton County.
  11. That would be a Stupid Question IMO. They have a State Championship after all!
  12. Thanks for the additional info. I've not been my normal self. Only made it to a few JV games and less that a qtr total of Freshman. I trust your all's opinion here and I feel better about next year.
  13. Good to hear. Need some size and muscle on a few of those, but great building material for sure. Rowe is one of my favorite kids and a Hard worker.
  14. Who said it helps them to become a better team? I believe someone mentioned that it helps the program because of younger kids getting Varsity time. That is definitely True. They don't care that it's Ludlow, they look forward to these games. You don't have to get fired up, but as the article from 2004 pointed out, you need to maintain your focus and execute. Its like a good practice. You don't have to get fired up for it, but you better be focused and have great practices leading into New Cath and the Playoffs.
  15. Thanks, A Ryle Parent told that Ryle played ND on Wed. Thanks. I'll keep an eye out. I don't assume anything with regards to who will win these next games. The Ryle team last night was so different from the one I saw just a couple of weeks ago. So I assume that other teams stepping up to that same level. I just wish I could watch the finish of the tourney.
  16. Congrats to the Lady Raiders. They were very impressive. I'm hoping I can get to the Ryle Vs Notre Dame game. Should be a great game. Ryle looks so much better than they did a few weeks ago.
  17. I thought I read earlier that you were eating some "Humble Pie" I take it that it didn't taste too good, because you clearly didn't eat enough or it was past it's effective date. Playoff Crow and Humble Pie are much worse, it takes nearly a year to get the taste out of your mouth.
  18. Great Summary EOT. We were having a discussion on Friday. What is the Line situation. I know they lose at least 4 Lineman to Graduation. Is that it?
  19. That throw-in of hers and her aggressive style make her extremely fun to watch. I love the kind of soccer she plays. It can really disrupt teams with more talent. Glad to see her getting some recognition. Sounds like a great athlete all around. Not many girls playing Three sports anymore.
  20. Great response and a lot to think about here. As I said in my previous post, I'm working on it. For many of the reasons you stated.
  21. I am a former one of those parents and currently in a 12 step program for it. Very rarely will I openly criticize a ref. Eventually, I hope to get it completely under control. I do get what you are saying and have been embarrassed by my fellow fans. Part of what led me to fix it. I have no idea how parents can watch hundreds of games as their players grows up and not understand the basic rules. Every time a player hits the turf IS NOT a penalty on the other team. Also, sometimes the ref doesn't make the call because they feel your team is in a better position by not stopping play. I will, however, always come to places like BGP and complain when justified or I need to vent. Soccer is one of the hardest sports to ref. So many calls are subjective. In addition to knowing whether or not a foul occurred, they often have to determine "Advantage" or not. I feel for them in that regard. That said, I have no sympathy or patience for those that take the pay (NOT BAD BTW), but do not make the effort to get in position or pay attention. Sometimes AR positioning is a joke at the H.S. level. When good teams are playing, there is no way you can make the offsides call when 10 to 20 yards down behind the frontline. My biggest point of frustration with any official in any sport (and the original point to this thread) is when they try to add their own rules or stretch "Sportsmanship" rules into something they are not. To you Refs out there, I'll keep working on it.
  22. Good lord, that nomination form is a bit much. You really have to want to nominate someone
