I am looking forward to the tournament. This may be one of the most competive 14th Region Tournaments we have seen in a long time and it is usually a tough one anyways.

Wow! I really don't know. I would like to know that myself. If it isn't, it would've been a long time ago.

This game is on the schedule, but I have been told it was cancelled. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks! If they do play what does everyone think?

Seems Jackson City is up and down. Hard to figure this team out. They play great one night and then play awful the next. They better get it together because I don't think Riverside will lay down for them in the district.

This set-up should be written in stone. It has been this way ever since they started seeding. The only difference is the 2/3 seed between Leslie and Hazard.

With JBS losing last night to Cordia, I'd say Knott is looking at this loss a little different now. The is a little cracked for someone to come in and take that 1 seed. Knott is really holding their own fate with games left with Cordia and JBS.

Cox did play in this game. Scored around 11-12 points. Cordia just came out and took it to JBS. Cordia has a pretty good team and this is only a minor upset. I think the disappointment of losing the All A is the main factor to the downfall of JBS right now. But, they are still one of the best teams in the 14th. I have posted this in another thread, they limped into the region barley beating Jenkins and losing to Knott in the district finals, only to go on and win the region. All this game shows is anyone can win this region and it will be a fight.

Haven't heard anything on the location, but I agree this will be a great tournament to watch.

I agree. I think JBS wins this one and clinches the 1 seed. Right now, Cordia is 2-3 with 3 games, LCC is 4-4, and KCC is 4-2 with 2 games left. There is a small possibility of a 3 way tie between these three. Jenkins already has the 5 seed. No changes in that. There is also a small possibiltiy for KCC and JBS to be tied as well. The seeding in this district is wide open. We'll know more about it after tonight.

If JBS wins tonight they clinch the 1 seed. JBS lost to a scrappy PCC team the other night. They easily beat Cordia the first meeting. Any thoughts?

Which actually could bring up the discussion about a class system. Don't get me wrong, I love the Sweet 16.

I know the boys had their draw and is set. The girls seed. Is it set yet?

The 54th and 55th really need to look into drawing. IMO, both districts have the best two teams playing each other in the 1st round.

I am from a small school and used to really like the draw, but I am starting to want the seed more. I am from the 14th and now most of better teams are small schools so the seed wouldn't hurt as much. I do think though that whatever is decided all districts should do it. Either seed or draw.

I am usually a big fan of the draw because I have come from a small school, but I am really starting to feel for the seed. Especially with the way this district continues to come out. If they would have seeded, Hazard would have played Leslie, while Buckhorn and PCC would play. I think the Buckhorn/Hazard game may be better than some think. I really don't think PCC will have any trouble with Leslie, but I didn't think Buckhorn would beat PCC by 33 last season. That is why they play the game. In the end, I think it will be Hazard/PCC for the district championship, with Hazard winning.

Another needed win for PCC. They seem to be gaining more confidence each game.

I agree, plus Hazard will be adding the Back kid who transferred from PCC during this season. This would take a lot of pressure off of Whitaker as well.

I know that is where they were going to play Buckhorn, but since it was a boys/girls DH they played at PCC. But since PCC and Hazard both have home games they'll have to play at the elementary school. Should be a good one. I'll say Jackson City by 3.

It all depends on how PCC reacts to the JBS win. If they can clear their heads I think they will win. If they don't they may fall to Breathitt. I'll say PCC is able to clear their head enough to get the win. PCC by 6.

Great district match up between these two teams. This game means a lot for LCC like Hardwood said. Knott won by 3 earlier. I'll take Knott by 1.

JBS done it last season in the 14th. They lost to Knott Central in the 53rd District and went on to beat Hazard in the championship game of the region.
