ALC lost 2 to Cumberland yesterday. Not sure of the scores of each. I think Cumberland won both in a big way. ALC is now 4-9 on the season and hosts Bluefield for a DH today.
ALC lost big to Milligan. Not a very good showing. They are scheduled to play on Friday at home. Not sure who? I'll try to find out.
They are now 2-7 on the season.
Slone is for real and has been that type of player since he began playing. I believe he was starting as a freshman (may be wrong?). Slone is a very good player.
Something I've just thought about, but this will be the 3rd time they have met at PCC this season. This will be a great game and I suggest if you anyone is planning on going, GET THERE EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooh, I hadn't heard that Hammonds wouldn't be the baseball coach next season. Cavanaugh would be a good one. Great baseball player in his days. He is Coach Dean's assitant at LCC right now. If he would be coming in as the assitant basketball coach, who would be the Head?
One of the toughest things to do is beat a team 3 times. It is even tougher to do it 4 times. This will be a battle. Whatever team controls the tempo wins. Both are playing great at this time and this is the top 2 teams in the region.
I thought Coach Amburgey done a great job in his short time there. The only thing that happened was he lost to a very good Cordia team in the District. Knott will NEVER have a good program if they don't stop changing coaches. Let them do their jobs. Give them at least 3-4 years to see what direction the program is going. Ridiculous. Knott seems to be better now than they have in a couple years. It is very hard for kids to adapt to a new coach every other year.
I have heard that Al Holland (Hazard) and Alan Hatcher (PCC) own co-coach of the year. Not sure. I haven't heard a thing about player of the year. Does anyone know for sure?
If Hazard brings the same intensity on defense, I really don't see Estill winning. I still think the key is to stop Whitaker (easier said than done). The kid is tough.
