I don't understand how you don't consider Hazard as one of the favorites in the region. They played terrible and almost beat Letcher Central. They beat Perry and I agree with fanatic on the officiating. They played a tough Lawrence Co. team to the wire until Lawrence scored a couple runs late. Take away the 1st inning against South Laurel and it is a 2-3 run ball game. Hazard came out of the gate slow, but that was due to the couple of days they had to take off for the state tournament. I see Hazard in the top 5

Yes. I'd put Hazard in there as well. They beat PCC this past Tuesday 5-3. Right now I'd go. 1. Estill Co. 2. Powell Co. 3. Letcher Central 4. Hazard 5. Perry Central Either of these 5 could win the region.

ALC lost to Morehead State yesterday 8-1. This makes them 5-18. They were supposed to play Kentucky State today, but it was cancelled. Their next series is Tomorrow and Saturday VS conference foe Asbury at ALC.

This was a great game. Both teams played pretty good. Hazard's defense came through in this one. These two along with Estill, Powell, and Letcher Central are the teams to make a run at the region this season. Anyone have any stats on this game.

I agree. It will do no good to have Puckett pitch as much as he has and not have anything left in the tank come district time. From what I have learned, Puckett is very capable of beating anyone and they will really need him come tournament time. Do they seed in this district?

There is supposed to be the NFHS stamp on balls used in all KHSAA games. Where was this game? The home team is responsible for the game balls.
