Jackson City 4 Cordia 3

Featured Replies

Looks like it was a good one. Does anyone have any stats or details?

It was a good one. It was a pitching duel for the first few innings. Hayes of Jackson was just throwing it past the Cordia hitters and the Cordia pitcher had a slow sneaky little southpaw curve that was just giving the Jackson hitters pure fits. Cordia was on their way to a win but the they took out the lefty and his curveball and put in a pitcher that threw a speed the Jackson hitters were more accustomed to. Jackson started hitting and took advantage of a couple Cordia errors and won it in the seventh.

That was the first game I've seen lately using sockballs. The balls were Rawlings but there were no stamps on them anywhere. When a ball gets rejected by the pitcher because it's square, there's a problem somewhere...

There is supposed to be the NFHS stamp on balls used in all KHSAA games. Where was this game? The home team is responsible for the game balls.

That is correct. The game was at Cordia.

When I played we always used those balls against Wolfe Co. in their homer dome
