I think if the KHSAA allows the spring game vs other schools you will see teams play teams near each other.

Ok. So why not let coaches decide that instead of "Well some schools can or can't do it." I mean there are some schools you don't like using Rawlings footballs. You are only mandated to do it in the playoffs. So my thinking is why not do it during the season anyway. People will adapt. Eventually everyone will have a spring scrimmage. It was just like HUDL. About 80% said "aw hell nah". Now everyone is saying "Hell Yes."

They cover catosrophic injury for spring or they wouldn't sanction spring practices.

I just think it's something that can be done. If other states can do it so can KY. I'm not saying every school can, but it's something they should look at. I agree though some teams like smaller schools that don't want a spring game should get scrimmage #2 in the fall and I think that's a fair way of doing it. BUT I also think some schools would like to have a spring scrimmage (i.e 6-A, 5-A) schools because they will have the numbers.

I told everyone back in 2006 that giving up 7 on 7 in June was the beginning. Instead I got the politician coaches bashing me. Why would it hurt a multi sport athlete? He's playing another sport, so he probably won't play. I like the idea. Will it pass? NO not in KY. It doesn't hurt GA, Alabama, or TN high schools. All of the sudden it's not good for KY schools. Politics and we had coaches who had an opportunity to fight for it, but chose to not fight for it.

That's weird...I thought June was for Basketball to play their 1000 games and go to 4 camps and spend $$ on games and not work on drills or individual work. So June is not for Basketball your saying? Also, are coaches from a high school allowed to coach AAU basketball or Fall Traveling Baseball team? Spring Football is 10 days and NOT every football player is there, like June were all basketball players can go.

3 DL 2 ILB 2 OLB's 1 FS 1 CB I think that's 9. Boarman is a HUGE loss and Mills their SS, but with Blair and McKay back at LB and their DL back they should be fine on D in my opinion. I think Catholic's biggest Question is their QB, but that was their biggest question every year they graduate a QB. History says they should be fine at QB, but he is young.

Butler Co. ahead of Owensboro Catholic? Catholic's D will better then their O this year and they held Rex to 12pts. Those 12pts were against Catholic's 2nd team. They lose a big one in John Mark Boarman at LB, but their whole DL, the other 2 LB's Nick Blair and Bailey McKay are back and both OLB's and 2 DB's return. IF their Soph QB keeps getting better then Catholic will have to tools to win again. Their only problem is everyone's problem in the state..... MAYFIELD!

Yes you would. What difference does it make when you play a team and get beat by 21 or 121? It's a Lose. It also, puts a team like Hoover or De La Salle in a situation where if they don't punt and connect on their 4th downs it Pulaski might win.

So we get rid of 7 on 7 in June, which in my opinion is the single most dumbest thing we did, and now we are worried about what balls we use. The Circus is back in town!
