  1. One of the best guys in coaching in Kentucky. Congratulations to Coach Thacker.
  2. Exactly right. This is unlikely, but hopefully parents will use some common sense.
  3. I think everyone can agree this isn’t comparable to the summertime Dead Period.
  4. The whole purpose of the Dead Period that the KHSAA has put in place is to prevent groups from gathering, in my opinion. If there are student-athletes (more than 2 at a time) "gathering" to do workouts/condition ("practice") they are defeating the purpose and basically saying they are above the suggested policy put in place. I don't think it matters where it is, if players are getting together in groups of 3 or more they are in violation in my opinion.
  5. All sports placed in Dead Period until April 12th. http://post.spmailtechno.com/f/a/f8gGkgieCW9VISLhieTZKg~~/AAE9zQA~/RgRgTNG3P0RraHR0cHM6Ly9raHNhYS5vcmcvYXRobGV0aWMtZGVhZC1wZXJpb2QtaW5zdGl0dXRlZC1mb3ItYXRobGV0aWMtcHJvZ3JhbXMtaW4tYWxsLXNwb3J0cy1hbmQtc3BvcnQtYWN0aXZpdGllcy9XA3NwY0IKAAA3nmtebC9tzVIla2V2aW4ubGV0Y2hlckBtb250Z29tZXJ5Lmt5c2Nob29scy51c1gEAAAAAA~~
  6. In a matter of about 48 hours, I've gone from a 1 to a 6. Hope that's the peak for me.
  7. Don't forget the ice cream! Beautiful campus and Arena.
  8. If you’ve seen a blarge and one official’s call “wins out” over the other after a conference, the crew screwed up. I think the assignor would rather them own up to their lack of communication than go against what the rule book says.
  9. If that's done (and I've seen it done) it infuriates one coach, but really infuriates the assigning secretary. There are cases where officials can get together and discuss what happened first. For example when there's simultaneous whistles, one with a travel and one with a foul. Typically one led to the other and the officials can get together and determine that. With a blarge, that contact happened at one moment and one official saw it one way and the other saw it another way. This is prevented with good communication and doing what is called "yielding to the primary."
  10. You'll want to contact the folks at the NFHS and make your suggestion on how it should work. Contacting Us
  11. Rulebook prevents this. They did the correct thing.
  12. Had a nice dinner last Friday night in Louisville at a place on Market St called Decca. Good drinks too.
  13. Wednesday night, I met my stepmom at Trackside at the Depot in Paris. What a cool place! And the food, especially the desserts, was awesome. Well worth the 30 minute drive.
  14. Any combo, with the exception on #2. Allergic to coconut. :stop:
  15. Very difficult game to watch. Only reason I tuned in was to see Cynthiana's own, Bart Lenox referee. He'll be on a little bigger stage tonight.
  16. Glad I'm just now seeing this! Lol Wow, what a beautiful place Santa Anita Park is! If you ever have the chance, go and don't even think about it. You can fly direct to LAX now out of SDF. Easy flight. As for the races, I did okay Friday, but great Saturday. Had 5 winners (Covfefe, Mitole, Uni, Bricks and Mortar and Vino Rosso). No real longshots obviously, but more than doubled my money. The other highlight of the trip was eating at In-N-Out for the first time. The Double-double was just what the doctor ordered after a day at the track.
  17. Love that place. They have awesome paella!
  18. Starburst, Candy Corn and Tootsie Pops for me. I know I've in the minority on the candy corn, but I love it. It's even better with a handful of peanuts!
