  1. The connection cut out on me but now have it back. It cut out when Rock had a 4th and Goal...well apparently Rock scored and got the 2-pt conversion. rock leads 8-0. Marion was forced into another punt and it went out of bounds at the Marion 45. Rock ball.
  2. lol. Not married and I do have two sisters...they're both off limits...lol.
  3. Rock forces Marion into a 3-and-out. After the punt return, Rock has the ball inside their own territory but just inside the 50.
  4. We are underway and the Rockets are kicking off to the Knights. The Rock kickoff goes out of bounds and the Knights start the game at their own 35. The field at rockcastle County Middle School is really muddy down the middle of the field...we'll see if this plays anything into the game.
  5. Okay ladies and gentlemen, it is once again that time of year for me to break out the Hensley Rating System for the Kentucky HS football playoffs. The rating is simple to explain. I combine the Cantrall Rating from the Lexington Herald-Leader and the Lit Rating from the Louisville Courier-Journal and divide that by two (since there is just two factors at question) to get the average. That average is the HRS. Over the last few seasons, I have done a post-season version of the HRS with predictions of every game and have been fairly successful. Now most first round games will be easy to predict, but others are not. I have been known from time to time to be exactly correct in how close a game will be while others have been way off. Disclaimer: Please remember that this is NOT an official BGP poll nor should these predictions be used for any type of gambling. This is just one person having WAY TOO MUCH free time and loving to crunch numbers. Also, please don’t think that this is exactly how I think the games will go. There are some games throughout the six classes that I think will go a different way than the HRS is predicting. To get the margin at which one team is predicted to win by, take the home team’s HRS and add six points for home field advantage and then subtract the visiting team’s HRS. If the number is positive, the home team should win by that much, and if it is negative, the visiting team should win by that much. If this is still confusing, please ask me to explain better in a constructive manner. 11. Here are the results for this week's Northern Kentucky Regional contest. As always, the results won't be final for 24 hours. All contestants should use that time to check their score for errors. After that time period has passed, the contest is final and the winner should use the following link to claim the prize of choice. 12. My only question is will the running clock be evoked in the first half? Of course both teams have to agree to it, but would be surprised if Belfry wins by 60 with most of those points coming in the first quarter and a half.
  13. I have heard of the Oyler School cause that was where my grandma went way back in the 40s for a little bit. She would mention that from time to time. Love the fact that they're called the Hatmakers...lol. Now for the other school, I have never heard of them As far as Mr. Wehry, I salute you for taking the time out of your schedule to not only broadcast the game, but for mentoring the young man. If we all can help change just one life, then we're doing a great job.
  14. "See what you have to do is make your hand like this so you can get a bunch of cookies out of the jar at one time without the wife seeing you."
  15. This is just a thought but maybe they've got a pretty young team and the coach was wanting to schedule more teams that they might have success against to build up their confidence for the future. Other than that, I have no clue at all.
  16. Sorry but after looking at the contest thread, I can't find your entries. Please check over it (an additional set of eyes is always good) and let me know which if you are in fact on there and who entered prior to you and behind you...this way I can go straight to it. Thanks!
  17. My apologies for not getting the results correct...no excuses...should have gotten it right the first time.

  19. Bluegrasspreps.com is giving you a chance to show off your football knowledge statewide! The Bluegrasspreps Regional Pick 'em gives you a chance to pick games in different parts of the state for prizes EACH WEEK. There will be five regional contests every week. You will have a chance to pick the winners in each region -- NKY, EKY, Lexington/Central Ky, Louisville, and WKY. Each region will have five games to pick from each week. We pick the games, and you will pick the winner of each game, assigning your picks a point value of 7-5-3-2-1. The first tiebreaker is picking the team (of the ten teams in the contest) that scores the most points. You don't have to pick the highest scoring team, you just have to pick a team that scores more points than the team(s) picked by the member(s) you are tied with. The second tiebreaker is time. This is a season long contest and you can enter in any or all regions that you wish. At the end of the regular season, the winner of each region and the next five highest point totals statewide (the Wild cards) will compete during the playoffs for statewide bragging rights on Bluegrasspreps. If you win more than one position in the postseason playoff, then your second slot will go to the next Wild card. The best part is, if you win a weekly contest, you will receive a quality prize. 20. 23. If Rockcastle County beats Montgomery County on Friday, the Rockets won't have to worry about who has done what for Russell County since Montgomery County has five wins for five Rock points, which would replace them with either Pulaski County or Whitley County since both of those teams a HUGE underdogs in their games this week. That is if I am reading things right according to the KHSAA 3-Way Tie-Breaker link on their page http://www.khsaa.org/football/2011/tiebreakercalculations.htm
  24. A guess from me would be Belfry and Mayfield.
  25. Not sure either, but there is still a week to go in the regular season and teams can still get those points...but I do think Rock has the edge as of right now.
