I was told he was shooting 50% from the floor and 40% from 3. Thats not to bad. All of Henry Clays offense is pretty much 1 on 1 stuff. I think you can get stats on the Khsaa scoreboard.

I have watched Dunaway for 4 years and and he is probably the most unselfish player I have seen. In the state tourney last year he scored 13 points in the 3rd quarter and got the ball twice in the 4th so it wasn't Dunaway not playing team ball. I was told Dunaway leads HC in assists and scoring so anybody thats says he is not a team player is wrong.

Henry Clay didn't shoot well and just flat out got outhustled. I'm not real impressed with the Devils and I've seen them 4 times. Its still early so who knows.

The 11th region would be better competition then the state tourney and just because you win mvp of the state is no reason to make you the winner of Mr. basketball. There is no comparison in the comp each has played against. If you look at the ratings the #2 team in the 13th would be rated #12 team in the 11th.

South by 20 or more.

I'm not taking anything away from Allen, just making a point about each teams opponents. Sorry I missed M. Central who has come on to make 11th even tougher. However you can't say 1 kid deserve Mr. Basketball because his team wins the weak 13th and another can't win because his team gets beat in the tough 11th. That should have no bearing on this award. Mason Co. is not rated and just got hammered by Lex. Cath.

Don;t take any thing away from S. Laurel they have the best team in the state and imo if they played NCH 10 times they could win 5 of them. They play more as a team which makes them Special.

A little info thats interesting. S. Laurel has played 2 teams in top 25 and have no remaining games all the way to Rupp. Henry Clay has played 10 teams in top 25 with a possible 9 to get to Rupp. IMO thats a big difference .

I think S.Laurel is the best team in the state and I really like 4 of their players including Allen. I think South is 15 points better then Henry Clay. However imo Dunaway has had a better career with better numbers including this year against better teams. Henry Clay has played better teams top to bottom . This is about the best player not the best team. The one thing is both of these players are great young men. You can't give the award to a kid just because they make it to Rupp when they are taking alot easier road.

I think it will be Bryan Station.

They have alot of balance but imo no team is in the top 7-8 in state.

I like Holmes by 7.

I love S.Laurel alot but Ithink it would be hard to give Allen Mr. Basketball when he is not even one of the 2 best players on his team. Dunaway has better numbers for the season against better competition for the whole year.

The benches were emptied with 32 seconds and Henry Clay had only 9 players dressed so somebody had to stay in the game.

The Panthers got robbed in this one. Coach Mefford is doing a good job. The Panthers have improved every week.

This is ridicolus . AJ might have been recruited for the pg position which he would do fine at. Dunaway is a 2g who can score better then any of the others. College coaches according to you are never wrong. Like Adam Williams over Chris Lofton. Just because a school recruits one player and not another who play the same position in HS thats does not make him better. As far as the Mr. Basketball candidates Dunaway has better numbers against better competition which means alot to me. All 3 players are excellent players at the high school level and who knows which one will be the most successful at the next level. Good luck to all the kids.

This would have been a big win for Flyers.

J-town got knock ed off in region last year and Tilford won it. I'm not 100% sure but thats my understanding. There are alot of upsets in tourney play and you can't hold that against a kid who has had a great career imo.

Dunaway is at the top of my list. Over 2000points and the backbone of Henry Clay. I like Mack and then Allen.

MR. Basketball is voted on before the postseason tourneys.
