Oliver is going to be a good pitcher. He impressed me. Those catches in the outfield were pure hustle. :thumb: Hall is a very good 3rd baseman. That was his best performance of the season. I had him with 7-8 put outs.

Estill is looking good. This should be a good game. I'll take Estill by one run.

Last year I felt that if Estill was going to compete in the 14th that they would have to play more 14th Region teams. They're doing that this year. If Estill keeps it up, I suspect that there will be more respect for this team. I am impressed with their 6-1 start. We'll see how good they are after the Lee and Powell games.

Those two pics are great. I wish I would have taken my camera to Knott's game. I believe they had about 1/2 an inch before the game was called because of near blizzard conditions. It was crazy. But fun to watch.

It's tough to play baseball in cold weather, as some have stated above. But, by no means does that make these boys look like they can't take it. I was at Montgomery County watching a game. The wind was blowing up to 12 MPH and the snow was coming down hard. They toughed it out for a couple innings. And they wanted to keep playing. Wanting to wait out the band of snow to go by. Yea, they had under armor, and "turtlenecks" on. Try holding on to a 15 degree bat for a long count or looking up in the driving snow for a white baseball that's been popped up 20 feet into the air. A quarterback may make 4-5 throws during a set of downs. A pitcher may get lucky and have to throw 3 pitches during an inning, but that doesn't happen every game. Most have to make 10-12. Last time I checked, I didn't see any baseball players huddled around a turbo gas heater during a cold game. And I, sure, haven't heard of any baseball players wearing his Mom's pantyhose to stay warm during the game. They're too tough for that. :thumb:

For Perry, it was Jon Bowling and Brian Napier. For Knott, it was, Zach Gibson and Corey Ritchie.

The only one would be Ryne Conley. Not sure if he is this season or not.

Those are some pretty good combos. At Knott it was Brandon Smith and Evan Potter. Those two worked well together. Zach Gibson and Smith work well together, as well.

Most of the time when KY teams go to Florida, they are in tournaments. And sometimes there are more than one KY team in the same tournament. It's just how it falls.

Looks like some good games are being played. Good to see the KY teams are playing well. :thumb:
