Hank, I really don't think Corbin needs the favorites knocked off to win the Region this year. If the Hounds lose it, they will have beaten themselves. That said, C'MON CATS!

I have seen Coach Mitchell drive LC's bus from time to time.

I tried to attach an LC helmet and couldn't.

Lynn Camp's Helmets are a darker orange with a black Clemson paw on the side outlined in white. Face mask is black and the stripe going down the helmet's middle front to back is white with a thin black stripe on either side of it. The color is not a burnt orange, I think I have heard it called a "harvest orange". It is closer to burnt orange than the horrible powder orange UT wears!

I'm almost 100% certain that LC is in the SEKC in football again. I also know that the MS plays in a conference in football again, also. I'm thinking that they are back in in basketball, too.

Mobley IS a good player now.

Mobley is a player, and a much better one when he is 100%, but I don't think he is there yet from the knee injury from football. I'll agree with the discipline statement. Thanks for the information.

He is very logical in his thinking, so I would guess that some things were not what they seemed during the initial walkthrough for the job. He may have felt this was not the job to get back into coaching with. 'Course, there may be another job in the mountains or something we're not aware of, too.

Where are the districts played at this year for Corbin's and LC's, Bubba?

Is it true that LC is only the 3rd team to put 70 or more on CHS? That's impressive for both teams. LC's Offense and Corbin's Defense!

Yes. It was a big win for the Hounds and a big spread.

LC had a bench T, an elbow T and a "you can't use that word" T. As far as not playing, when we quit playing Corbin a while back, we caught nothing but grief for not doing it, now we are catching grief FOR doing it? What does everyone want? Maybe play 2 qtrs.?:ohbrother: Also, if they are getting nothing out of it (playing LC), why is Corbin also playing really bad teams like they did friday night? THAT argument made no sense at all due to playing a bad team the night before you played us, then saying, basically, we are so bad you get nothing out of it.:idunno: LC is undermanned for a team like CHS, and it has been a long time (70's) since LC beat CHS in Basketball. The fans, while I am not excusing anything, are frustrated and that is what happens. LC plays at a breakneck pace and on both sides of the ball. There are nights that they are going to stay into foul trouble, especially going against someone as talented and deep as Corbin. As far as beratting the officials, I agree with Bubba. I have been at CHS games with some of the local notables/rivals (Clay/SL/KC) and saw the Corbin fan base have plenty to say that is just as bad and no one get tossed. Comes with some of these type of games. Most officials are thick skinned and can take it. If they can't, they are going to hate the job. Verbal, within boundaries (aka threats) is just that. Anything that looks like an escalation to assault needs to be nipped in the bud.

No, HDE, I did not. I had that as one of the "toss up" games and said I did not know much about them at the time and said that "if" we had a chance to beat a team like HC with a school our size it would be in a game that they were just getting used to each other in. I was worried about HCHS being on the schedule due to the numbers they threw at us and how physical they could possibly be. I never counted it as a win. I did, however, count the Dragons as a win, which we did beat. You have my Harlans from last year crossed up. I would not have picked us over them, but I did feel that if they were in the "honeymoon" period still we might be able to sneak up on them. They weren't and we didn't.:idunno: I will say that they won't beat us this year, though! Here's what I found that I did post last year from the 2008 Lynn Camp thread on here: Harlan County is a new school with a new system. We catch them exaclly where you want to play a bigger school in this situation. 2nd week of the season, perhaps before they start to gel. THIS could be a very good game. Right now I am thinking toss up. I did mention that Calpreps had favored LC in the LC/HCHS 2008 prediction thread. That was them, not me.
