  1. Now 3rd and 11. Stuffed on a belly, tried to bounce it out.
  2. 2nd and 4, 6 yd run, good for first down Personal foul after the play. Unsportsmanlike on HHS. JC has ball on 19
  3. Run down to 38, 'bout 7 yds
  4. Touchdown BIRDS!!! 7-0. My feed is lousy too, keeps cutting out. Didn't hear the TD play, just know it was a pass.
  5. You are the best, Birdsfan. Thanks for the updates.:thumb:
  6. They used to be 4A. Won State in 4A in 1982. Lost only one game that year as I recall. It was the Recreation Bowl against some then-3A power. But that was a looooooong time ago. Back when I weighed 155 pounds....
  7. There is a sigh of relief here in WISCONSIN right now. I can't imagine how the Fort is right now.
  8. Make a triangle with your fingers, watch the ball through the opening, and tap the ball with your fingertips. THAT is how you set in volleyball. Any questions?
  9. Thanks for the updates, Birdsfan!
  10. I reckon that when the public and private schools in Campbell County schedule games against each other, then the public and private schools in Fayette County will. (Obviously, Bellevue, Dayton and Bishop Brossart are exonerated)
  11. Great seeing you too, Boom. But let me tell you -- that team is with me everyday no matter where I am.
  12.:laugh::laugh: I could and did button it on request. I have witnesses. But I needed to show off the rest of my ensemble, and I didn't have full range of motion in my arms when I was fully buttoned.
  13. Boys, It was great seeing all of you. I'm sorry that I missed Birdsfan, but at least I talked to him on the phone the night before. My only regrets are that it took too long for us to get back together and the time we spent together Friday was too short. And I want to thank the KHSAA for making this possible. Thank you, Brent Miller.
  14. Don't worry if you don't have the 5 bucks; I have it on good authority that you can talk him down to three.
  15. Thank you, Birdman. It was as good as I remembered it.
  16. In 1980, we lost to Newport at home at Week 5 or so. Finished the season at 9-1 but missed the play-offs because we did not win our half of the district.
  17. I remember that there was a thread on here years ago called "Highlands Recruited My Son Today" or something like that. It was very well written and explained how Highlands tradition permeates through the town and elementary schools. Is there a way to pull that up again? I've searched for it but cannot find it.
  18. I remember that game... The Safety bent over to tie his shoe and didn't know that ball had been snapped.
  19. I caught the second half of the game on this station, and I have to say I was very impressed. Not only do the Birds need our own internet broadcast, but it has to be as good as the one I heard Friday night. Top-notch job.
  20. There are 10 kinds of people: Those who understand binary and those that don't. Helps to be a little geeky to get that one...
  21. You're breaking my heart, 83. I'm going to keep my identity a secret; you can consider that a family trait.:sssh:
  22. I am so looking forward to this. Birdsfan, I've still got you covered if you are still interested. Number 35 in your program, number 1 in your heart, and number 4 on the depth chart.:dancingpa
  23. Whatever happened to the large TV that was supposed to be at David Cecil? I've been to a pair of games over the past few years, and it was never in place. Has it been abandoned? Nevermind, answered in another thread
  24. His name was Homer Rice, not Smith. Sorry that I don't have his numbers. Went on to coach the Bengals and served as the AD at Georgia Tech.
