• State football champs from 25 years ago -- Christian County (4A), Highlands (3A), Corbin (2A), Paris (1A) -- will be recognized at this year's finals in Louisville on Dec. 7-8. Players, coaches and cheerleaders from each team will get one complimentary general admission ticket and one guest ticket. I know they did this last year as well. However no one told last years Highlands team about it.

 

I am sure SOME OF OUR MEMBERS WILL BE THERE BUT I CAN'T SAY WHO OR IT WOULD BE A RULE #5 VIOLATION.

 

Hopefully the rest of the Highlands faithful will have good reason to be there.

Butch Cope, Marilyn Mitchell, and Julian Tackett all take good care of me for all things KHSAA.

 

Yes, 1984 Beechwood was the first title. Beechwood was runner up in 74 to Murray. Murray won 14 to 0.

Wonder when they will announce them? In the past the announced the 1A champ during the 1A game, etc. Will it be the same this year? Perhaps announce the teams during the game/class that school currently plays in.

I was curious about that too. Since the games are spread over three days, and the classes are all different now. Which game will the players get tickets to?

Perfect opportunity to spend a weekend in beautiful Louisville and see some excellent football. 4th street live is a very cool place as well if you are really bored on Friday night.
