  1. Simon Kenton is at Conner on August 1st.
  2. Anyone know who/when NDA scrimmages? and St. Henry?
  3. Not everyone can be 6'2. I am sure she is still a nice addition to the Ludlow team.
  4. I will still go with the following: 1. NDA 2. St. Henry 3. Ryle Beechwood, NCC, Conner will fight it out for #4 and #5.
  5. Could be interesting. Especially in Boone and Kenton County where the enrollments keep changing. A 4th high school in Boone County is just a few years off and may change the numbers.
  6. I will try to find out. I think she may be a sophomore or junior. I just briefly overheard a conversation last night when I was out and about. Also heard that Conner and Ludlow has transfers as well.
  7. I will try to come on Thursday. Looks like Beechwood and NCC are the favorites.
  8. Here are my picks. 1. Notre Dame - most consistent talent in the region. Should be interesting with the new coach. 2. St. Henry - lost a lot of talent, but will still be very strong. Neimer will be the top player in NKY. 3. Ryle - They lost some strong seniors, but most of their kids play club. They will be strong again in 2006. They will always be strong. They work hard. 4. Conner - Lost one starter, Kara Wells. They have been conditioning and weight training spring and summer. Still good talent base present. 5. Beechwood - Snyder is tough, but the rest will have to step up. Snyder is a great player. 6. NCC - will get better each of the next three years. They will dominate when their sophomores are seniors. 7. Simon Kenton - they compete every year. 8. Campbell - should be good again, but need to find some defense to replace those that graduated. 9. Highlands - should compete for region with NCC and CCHS. 10. Boone County - good solid players, tough district
  9. Although it was great to see the schools with players present, it would be nice to have players participate from the top schools as well. There were many schools that did not have any players present. It was a great game for those that attended, but it would be nice to have representation from all schools.
  10. Congratulations to all the seniors and good luck to those continuing their volleyball careers.
  11. Congratulations to Ryle! A well deserved championship.
  12. Coach Styer is a great guy. I hope things are turning around for the Camels. A school that size should compete every year.
  13. First week of June used to be Senior All Star Week. Over the last few years, it has gotten less attention. Mostly football gets widely covered. Sometimes volleyball gets a little attention.
  14. The Senior All Star Volleyball Game will be Wednesday, June 7 at 7PM at Dayton High School. Will anyone be in attendance? Here are the players and schools represented: Dixie-Ashley Elkus & Linda Moorhead Villa-Julie Shumate & Kelly Goodmaster Campbell Co.-Christina Rehbolz & Whitney Webb Calvary Christian-Becky Sanders & Kelsie Martin Ludlow-Andrea Wise & Sarah Wright Ryle-Paula Stilkey & Cassie Moore Heritage-Rachel Acree & Susanna Keller Holy Cross-Holly Dorning & Stacey Sinclair Scott-Maria Murray & Allison Herzog Conner-Kara Wells & Emily Peak Dayton-Taren Schweirjohann & Stacey Watson Beechwood-Saramarie Anderson & Shaya Swift St. Henry- Andrea Price & Megan Dooley Boone Co.-Autumn Combs & Christina Prindle Bellevue-Kelsey Schwab & Tammy Lay Simon Kenton-Sarah Kloentrup & Cassie Schoborg NCC-Diane Schulenberg & Kelly Brueggen Highlands-Amberly Tullis
  15. Teegarden taught one year at Gray Middle School after his student teaching. He is a hard worker and will build a solid program. I look forward to hearing who the assitants will be.
  16. In the case of volleyball, I think it will be much later. No one can catch Assumption.
  17. Who won it last year and who do they have returning?
  18. I think Craig Steiner took the Boone County job. I think Conner, Dixie and Brossart are still open. Conner has a lot of talent returning. Not sure about Dixie and Brossart.
  19. Karley is a nice defensive player and Emily is a nice lefty.
  20. Pretty good list ZX3, but I would not count out Rachel Kloentrup of Simon Kenton. She is a great player as well!
  21. Yes, Coach Tanner is returning. Why should she not? She has built a very strong program and had much success.
  22. Kirsten Allen from Ryle will be a top player in NKY next year too. She is very strong at the net and can play any position. She is very talented.
  23. The top player will be Stephanie Niemer from St.Henry.
  24. Mason County has always had very good athletes. This is a great step in the right direction. I would love to see more schools do the same.
